About this property

3 bed, 3 bath house in Divide Ranch Golf Course Community with Sneffels Views

Our house is located on 2 acres in a golf course community on a plateau 1,000 feet above Ridgway, Colorado. The house has 3 full bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. The upstairs consists of the kitchen, family room, dining area, master bedroom and master bath. The downstairs has 2 bedrooms with 2 beds each and 2 full bathrooms.

We are 45 minutes from Telluride, 15 minutes from Ridgway, and 25 minutes from Ouray and their wonderful hot springs. The town of Montrose with a commercial airport, Walmart, Kroger, and Safeway is only 30 minutes away.

Deer, Elk and the occasional Black Bear roam the neighborhood (the deer act more like domesticated pets then wild animals) and there is a plethora of outdoor activities to participate in. Our family especially enjoys biking/walking around the neighborhood (definitely take a walk to Inspiration Point), hiking to the waterfalls around downtown Ouray, visiting the Ouray Hot Springs, fishing in the ponds at Ridgway State Park, and gazing at the stars at night from the 1,400 sq ft wrap around deck. Favorite restaurants include Taco Del Gnar, Colorado Boy Pizza, Maggie’s in Ouray and Crash burger in Montrose.

All the posters in the house are of local attractions and views and we are happy to help you go to those places (Ophir Pass, Blue Lakes, Island Lake, Inspiration Point, Silverton, Telluride).

Unfortunately one of our kids is allergic to dogs and so we can't allow pets in our house - we apologize for the inconvenience. We also don't allow smoking inside or outside house (due to fire danger).

This property was perfect for our stay in Colorado!
The house/property was as described. We were traveling on motorcycles, so the paved roads to the driveway was very important. It was great to have a garage for the motorcycles. We grilled every evening, sat on the deck, played cards and watched the shooting stars in the dark community. It was the most awesome light shows we've ever seen. The view coming down into Ridgway every morning was breathtaking, loved our stay in your home. The house was very clean and ample supplies in the kitchen. We would highly recommend the property. We definitely will stay here again if available. We enjoyed seeing mule deer every time we entered/left the property and even saw a black bear. Awesome stay.

Well maintained and updated home! Quiet area!
Excellent property that is updated and well maintained. Plenty of space for a large family or 2-3 smaller families. The description well matches the actual home. The owners are repressive and attentive. Take note of the location and time to travel to key areas/stores. This is a great quiet neighborhood with amazing views of the stars at night. I would recommend this location! Also Jake and Evisa can give you recommendations on family friendly restaurants in nearby Telluride.

Perfect location with an amazing view, a mountain top slice of heaven
This beautiful and comfortable home sits on top of a mountain with an amazing view from the deck that wraps around the entire back side of the home. We had everything we needed and easy access to both Ridgway and Ouray. Overall, loved it and our host was accommodating and gracious

This is a great place to stay
The owners are fantastic people and the house is amazing. The house is not down in Ridgeway but up in the mountain. We still had a great time.

About the host

Our family of 5 lives in Gilbert, AZ and purchased this house in 2016 so we could both get away from the heat of the summer as well as enjoy a winter activity that we are all equally good at (skiing) even though we range in age from 5 to 40. We love the outdoors and fell in love with Southwest Colorado the first time we visited in 2014.

Why they chose this property

We were looking for a house in the Ouray, Telluride, Ridgway area and decided on this one because it is centrally located between the different towns, it is up on the escarpment over looking the valley and has south facing floor to ceiling windows so in the winter time the house heats up very nicely from solar heating.

What makes this property unique

Our house has some of the best views of the San Juan Mountains in all of Ouray county. The deck wraps 270 degrees around the house and you can see the Cimmarron Mountains to the East, Uncompahgre to the West and Sneffels to the south. The community is a dark sky community and you can easily see the Milky Way and other constellations.
