When you’re not eating on the balcony, at one of the complex’s outdoor grill areas, or in one of the many restaurants within walking distance, you can dine at the unit’s luxe table, which can accommodate six people with ease. The well-padded chairs are so comfortable, you’ll be happy to linger long after the meal is over.

Updated with new appliances in the spring of 2019, the kitchen has everything (except food!) to satisfy your culinary needs: appliances, cookware, prep tools, tableware, and plenty of storage so that you can stock up on groceries at the beginning of your stay. There’s even a blender for whipping up milkshakes or margaritas plus a dishwasher--after all, why scrub plates when you can be lounging by the pool! For the same reason, Santa Maria 208 has its own washer and dryer as well.

The two bedrooms are serene sanctuaries featuring brand new mattresses that make it easy for you to catch up on your sleep. The primary bedroom includes a truly luxe king-size bed, an HDTV and more than enough storage. The second bedroom is nearly as grand, with a queen-size bed and new 32-inch flat screen TV that makes Santa Maria 208 as well suited for two couples as for a family. Each bedroom has its own full-size bathroom--no waiting on line in the morning! The beds will be freshly made when you arrive, and clean towels and extra bedding will be waiting; if you want to take a nap or a bath your first order of business, you can!

Though once you see the spectacular heated pool, you may want to take a swim first thing. The pool just might be the largest on Fort Myers Beach; it’s certainly among the nicest. After your swim--or your soak in the hot tub!--stretch out on one of the poolside lounge chairs and watch seabirds soar overhead. Don’t forget your sunscreen: The ambiance is so relaxing, you just might fall asleep out there!

Santa Maria also has deck areas outfitted with gas grills, tables, and chairs so that you can barbecue and dine alongside the canal. As well as boats parading by, you just might see manatees frolicking in the water!

Not only is Santa Maria located right on a canal, but it’s also next to a marina, where you can rent a pontoon or charter a fishing boat. Like the water but not boating? You can walk to the Gulf of Mexico and the beach in less than five minutes. Swim, race jet skis, search for shells or simply watch the dolphins and manatees play in the serene waters.

Also within walking distance are a golf course, restaurants, shops, and the trolley that runs the length of the island, making it easy to get to the fun of the Times Square area on the northern end without having to drive. A few miles south is Lovers Key State Park, where you can hike, bike, canoe and kayak among bald eagles, marsh rabbits, sea turtles and even alligators.
