Architectural gem with some drawbacks
The house itself is great architecture, fitting perfectly into the rural surroundings, which are dominated by olive trees and historic trulli (small stone huts in the fields). However there were some drawbacks: While bathrooms are fine the kitchen is surprisingly poor: Hot water supply was unreliable, which in the absence of a dishwasher can be a nuisance. Some basic equipment was missing, such as wine glasses, bowls or a tin-opener. Furthermore it was only when we asked for the WLAN password after arrival that we were informed that the internet connection had broken down a while ago - on request we were offered a 10 EUR compensation (on a total bill of 700 EUR for 7 nights). Don't expect too much from the bicycles which are mentioned in the ad - they are old and shaky, with rather poor brakes. Nevertheless we were charged a 100 EUR cash deposit for them on the spot, which however was correctly returned. Ilenia, who welcomed us on behalf of the owner, did her best, but the owner should clearly care better about the property and the guests.
