Bring the adventure back to your life ~ the mountains are calling you! Immerse yourself in the beauty of the North Georgia Mountains at this mountain cabin just outside of Dillard, GA and nestled along the banks of beautiful Betty Creek. This 1 private bedroom, 1.5-bath Canadian Hemlock hand hewed cabin with open sleeping loft is all you need for a memorable getaway. Enjoy playing in the creek right out your backdoor, or venture to Tallulah Gorge State Park, raft the Chattooga River, catch your dinner at Andy’s Trout Farm, or enjoy one of the numerous beautiful hikes in the Nantahala Wilderness Area. It's time to unplug and get away from it all! Let Turnstone Cabins be your home away from home!

Turnstone Cabins were built by the family of Ben Parrish, and are owned and operated by the Parrish Family. Along side our Dad, we laid every board, log, and rock with our own hands. Each cabin belongs to one of the Parrish children as a legacy of our Dad. We love opening our homes to guests so that they can share the beauty of the mountain valley we have loved over the past 25 years.

Please see our other listings on VRBO. There are 4 cabins in Turnstone. Our additional cabins are Sassafras Rock (ID 154364), Walnut Falls (ID 924357), and Chinkapin Gap (ID 4460024).

We are a family oriented property with cabins geared towards a quiet getaway. Any large groups or loud outdoor gatherings are not allowed in an effort to provide all of our guests (and neighbors) the most pleasant experience.

By booking with us, you are agreeing that you and anyone in your party are not experiencing symptoms of COVID 19 upon checking in to our property. We want to protect our guests and staff during this time in the best way possible.

Comfortable cabin
Great place to relax, sitting by the creek. Easy drives to Franklin and Highlands, as well as other area activities. The property was very clean and well kept. It was also quiet, away from any noisy roads and people. There is access to the AT by walking up the road, onto a logging trail, and into Nantahala Forest.

This cabin stay made for the best birthday ever!
When we walked in the door I was smitten with the pristine cleanliness of the cabin. The linens were sparking white and smelled so fresh. We loved the instant hot water! Great shower!!! The supply of dishes, cookware, etc., was more than adequate and very appreciated! Those little baseboard heaters kept us so toasty. I really appreciated the magnifying mirror right under the light!!! The bed was as comfy as our bed at home. The covers were weighty, making them so warm. When I was doing my VRBO search, I had 3 criteria—-actually 4 but knew that last one would be more than a long shot. I wanted a small isolated log cabin with a wood burning FP and a charcoal grill. I hoped for a creek running behind the cabin but knew that was too much to hope for. What a serendipity that Cherry Bluff sits on the banks of a babbling creek!!!!

Best mountain getaway!
Our family of five had the best time at our Turnstone rental (Cherry Bluff cabin)! As our children grow, we look for opportunities to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and allow them to experience the beauty and wonder mother nature has to offer. There is no better place to do that than Turnstone cabins nestled in the NC backcountry. You won't regret your experience here!

Great stay
Had trouble with the loose bathroom doorknob, and there were ants occasionally on the kitchen counter. But overall the facility was great, comfortable, and a very enjoyable stay.

Short on true amenities
Just a few things. The ad said a hot tub. Not true. The house could use a small washer dryer even if it cost more. The only annoying thing is that there is no sound proofing between the upstairs and the master bedroom below. Every step was amplified. You can even hear someone doing the number 1 in the bathroom. This would be an easy fix. Other than that it was great.

Peaceful
Cute, clean, comfy cabin. We enjoyed our stay. The creek was so nice and cool to sit next to and read (and have a glass of wine). The cabin had everything we needed. Just be aware Vrbo lists the cabins in 2 different locations. They are outside of Dilard

Hidden gem
This place is a true hidden gem, off the beaten path, perfect for those looking for a true mountain retreat without all the glitter and glam. A small log cabin nestled in the trees alongside a creek with flowing water. I'd rather keep this place a secret so that it never changes, but I want the owners to know how much we enjoyed our stay and appreciate that they share their cabins.

Our wonderful stay at Cherry Bluff
We thorougly enjoyed our stay at Cherry Bluff. The cabin is located near the flowing creek and contributed to our relaxing time on the back deck. The cabin is patriotically decorated with lots of cherry accents. It was very clean and stocked with the comforts of home to aid in cooking a few meals during our stay.

Peaceful, Amazing Stay
We loved our long weekend at Cherry Bluff cabin! It was cozy, clean, quiet, the creek in the back was lovely and easy to put our feet in! We were close to Dillard, Clayton and Franklin with plenty of dining and things to do. Ingles and WalMart are close as well. The Air Conditioner is upstairs only, but we felt it helped cool things down on the hot days regardless. The bed was super comfy. We really loved everything!

Peaceful Location
Cherry Bluff cabin was just what we needed!! So peaceful, quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of crowds. The cabin and location were everything described in the ad and more. Everything we needed was provided. Some would say that the internet being down would be a problem. But not for us! Being unplugged was a blessing! We could reconnect with family, etc. whenever we went into town. Looking forward to our next trip!

Perfect spot to decompress!!!
This cottage exceeded our expectations for privacy and relaxation as we drove up the driveway the stress just left our bodies. We spent most of our time on the back porch with the rushing creek immediately under the cabin. Ideal setting to decompress and leave the city life behind us. There was no cell service or Wi-Fi during our entire 4 nights, which was slightly disconcerting just in case there was an emergency, but we got used to being disconnected and probably needed it. Also, the spiral staircase is smack dab in the middle of the living room and my boyfriend hit his head on that a few times just walking around. Maybe needs to be marked with caution tape or something bright, cause it's dangerous. The spiral staircase is a bit of a challenge to maneuver especially at night since it's all black and the light switch is downstairs. But, all in all a wonderful location and a super clean place with comfy beds and nice cotton sheets. Kitchen was fairly well stocked for simple needs. We left relaxed, rested and ready to tackle the city once again!!!

Hidden gem.
We loved this place alot. Very private. Very relaxed. This cabin has all kitchen utensil items for family with kids to cook and stay there without anything needed to carry. Toilets are very neat. Towels smell very fresh. Loved the smell of towels to be honest. Small river at the back of cabin is ultimate. We walked there for few times. but need to be careful as it's slippery. There is walking trail at the end of cabins into woods. It has everything for perfect getaway for family. The only drawback that I can point is the wifi is not reliable which is understandable as there was heavy thunderstorms during our stay that knocked our wifi. Overall we loved this place very much.

Anniversay Trip
This was a cute little cabin. Comfortably handled me and my husband. The creek with a really nice flow over the numerous rocks was literally right behind the porch, was beautiful to listen to while we slept and fun to watch while on the back porch. We enjoyed traveling to see antique shops nearby, along with plenty of hiking trails. If your looking for a little get away, this would be it.

Turnstone Cabins are owned and operated by the Parrish Family. We are from south Georgia (Statesboro) and love the cooler climate up here in the mountains. We now spend almost all of our time on the property! We enjoy hiking and antique shopping.

Why they chose this property

We were looking for a property that was along a creek and that our guests could access without 4 wheel drive vehicles at any time of the year. We found it right here on Betty Creek in the mountains of western North Carolina ... just 4 minutes from US Highway 441. We developed the property and built our 4 log cabins so that we could share this unique place with others.

What makes this property unique

The sound of rushing water over a large rocky creek and the cool breezes that are always blowing gently makes sitting on the porches real relaxing moments.
