About this property

Quiet Country Get Away with big porches, swimming pool, and fishing pond.

This house sets on 37.5 acres and is next to over 500 acres of treed government land next to Heyburn Lake. It is 2 story and is only 100 yards from Heyburn Lake. Because of trees and government protection rules to not mow their property, one can't see the lake from the house in the summer time. It is located 11 miles West of Sapulpa. Features blooming flower gardens, big lawn with swings, hiking, and a rock garden water fall. The house has 5 bedrooms with 3 baths, a sitting area upstairs, plus a nursery. It has 3 dining rooms, and a well equipped kitchen. It has an above ground (32' x 18') 42 inches deep swimming pool. There is a round patio with 6 porch swings all the way around with fire pit in the center, and a grill on the side, an area East of the green barn to shoot guns and a pond for fishing North of the barn. There is lots of privacy and quiet resting places, porch swing, and porch rocking chairs. This house is totally disconnected. You can use the hot spot feature on your phones if you need internet. It works fine for business needs for us.

About the host

Host profile image
James and I had 5 sons and one daughter. We have pastored the church of God in Sapulpa for 26 years. We take a mission's trips to Culiacan or Ensenada, Mexico each year. We enjoy home improvement projects, keeping a vegetable garden, and flower beds around our home. Tricia has been a Pampered Chef consultant for 27 years and loves sharing cooking tips and selling essential tools. We have 19 grand children. All of our children own their own businesses and live within 25 miles of us. We are Christians and we aim to live a peaceful life full of integrity and godly wisdom. In June of 2019 we lost our sweet daughter, Kayleah in a tragic auto accident. We are building a family event center and wedding venue in her honor just across from her burial place up on the hill called Bella Rosa Venue. The house and venue can be reserved together for weekend weddings. James was born and reared here in Tulsa. Tricia was born in California, speaks fluent Spanish, and was raised in Baja California where her father, James Huskey was a missionary for 20 years. We love our family and are very active with them and our church family.

Why they chose this property

We want to share the blessing of living in a quiet place where one can shut out the media completely and focus on real tangible nature. Our property used to be the Bartlett Collins Employee Recreational Park in the sixties. There is a magical air of peace and quiet resting on this place. Our home is fully disconnected from television. We have had a real slow wifi service so we let it go. The fast fiber internet is coming and our property is wired for it, but until they connect it, we use hot spot on our phones to connect to the internet.

What makes this property unique

Enjoy our beautiful waterfall that cascades down big rocks between 2 flower gardens. Enjoy taking the kids fishing at either pond or down at the lake. Go exploring or hog hunting in the woods, and practice shooting your bow or gun. Shoot fireworks on our concrete basketball court, but clean up the mess it makes when you are done. Take a swim in our private pool (please don't take food nor small pool toys there). Enjoy rocking on the big porch, eating at our tables on the porch, or swinging in the tall swings or relaxing on the swings around the fire pit.
