Vacations should be filled with happy, fun-filled days. You know, Bluebird Days. Hopefully, this lovely five-bedroom home will make every day seem like a Bluebird Day! Tucked in the trees for a private setting sure to provide peace and quiet both day and night, there is plenty to keep everyone busy. Outside the house offers an outdoor hot tub, fire ring and plenty of yard for year-round fun and games. Inside enjoy WIFI, multiple TV’s, a fully equipped kitchen, central air conditioning, and just about all the cozy comfort you can imagine. The open floor plan on the main level allows cooks to be cooks and couch potatoes to be, well, couch potatoes. Get started on that book you always wanted to read or converse with family and friends by the glow of the indoor fireplace. The downstairs rec room is sure to be a hit for every age. Shoot a game of pool, try your luck at foosball, enjoy a game of cards or watch the game of the day in the incredibly fun and seriously spacious family room. There lots more to enjoy. It is a short drive to Blackwater Falls, Canaan Resort, and the fun and historic towns of Davis and Thomas. Please take a minute to check out the virtual tour…seeing is believing! Winter visitors definitely need to plan 4-wheel drive vehicles for access.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: WE HAVE BEEN RENTING THIS HOUSE FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS. WE ARE GOING BACK NEXT YEAR AS WELL AND WILL CONTINUE TO RENT THIS HOUSE. IT NEEDS A LITTLE MORE CLOSE AND DETAILED CLEANING BUT IS A GREAT HOUSE. ALWAYS RENTING THIS HOUSE OVER MLK HOLIDAY WEEKEND AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO. THE COMPANY AND STAFF AS ALWAYS VERY ON THE SPOT AND HELPFUL WITH ALL THE SITUATIONS.

The house was spotless on arrival. New owners have made some nice upgrades.The staff at Best of Canaan were able to get wood delivered to the house and as always were a pleasure to deal with. I have stayed at Bluebird Day more times than I can count. I plan to return again and again!

Great spot for a family weekend getaway
We enjoyed our stay in this home very much. We were close enough to the sites we wanted to see (Blackwater Falls, etc) but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to really relax and recharge. Plenty of room for us to congregate as a large group, but plenty of spaces to have peace and quiet! The only complaint I would have is that the house could use a thorough deep cleaning...we saw mouse droppings in the kitchen drawers which we dealt with (did not contact property manager). We live in the woods so we know these pests find a way in no matter how hard you try BUT that needs to be addressed. Other than that, the place was well equipped and overall a great meeting place! Would recommend and return!
