About Jackie Homrighausen
Dirk and I came to France in 2007 and renovated the house to make a beautiful home. For several years we have operated a gite and chambres d'hotes business and met some wonderful people from all over the world. Not being of retiring age, the corporate world has called us back and we are now in the Middle East, at least for the time being. We love Pre de l'Aubier and the surrounding area and as we hope you will enjoy the house as much as we do, I am sure you will see it has been a labour of love and the ideal place to spend a week or two enjoying the delights of the region.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
Cleaning and linen changes are every Saturday of your stay, with a mid week spruce up on Wednesdays. The pool has recently been fitted with a heater to ensure it can be used even in the chillier months.

A fantastic house in a great location! Simply wonderful.
We had a wonderful week staying at Pre du L'Aubier, everything was perfect.
The bedrooms are all beautiful with super comfortable beds and the rooms are as good if not better than the photographs.
Jackie and Dirk are super owners and sent us lots of useful information before we arrived and left a great welcome pack of food for us to get the holiday off to a good start. The pools is amazing, in fact so good it was hard to drag ourselves away. We particularly liked the outdoor covered eating area which was very welcome in the glorious weather we had, perfect for a lazy breakfast or a laid back BBQ in the evening. A perfect place to explore some of the great market towns and vineyards nearby. I would highly recommend this to others. We were two families staying together and the house has plenty of room for everyone to have enough space to feel at home. The kitchen is very well equipped so great for self catering. The property is immaculate inside and out with thoughtful touches. Thank you very much for letting us stay in your beautiful house Jackie and Dirk we would love to return one day..
Beautiful house in a quiet, secluded location with amazing views. Loads of space indoors with plenty of room to spread out; five great bedrooms - all en-suite - so no grumbling from our very choosy group about who bagged the best room! Wonderful pool and fantastic outdoor space for dining or relaxing. Great comms from the owner and very easy check-in with welcome from the housekeeper. Everything we wanted for a really great stay - thoroughly recommended!
Glad you enjoyed it Steve, hope you will visit us again soon.
Superb location, very well equipped, three generations all found reasons to relax and enjoy.
Glad you all enjoyed your holiday Susan, hope you will visit us again soon. Many Thanks
Home from home
Lots to do in the area, great local restaurants and vineyards. Wonderful to have the opportunity of a Summer holiday here.
Glad you enjoyed your holiday, hope to see you again next year!
We had a lovely and completely stress-free holiday here.
Can’t think of anything wrong with the place or with the way it’s equipped. All of us (6 adults and two children) were so glad we came.
Thanks so much!
Fantastic place to stay
Well equipped property in a beautiful location.
The beach at Arcachon can be reached in just over an hour and a half by car and is well worth the trip. The Dune du Pilat is a 'must see' if you are going to the coast.
You will be surrounded by the vines of Bordeaux, Duras and Bergerac. There are so many available to taste everywhere you go. Lunches and dinners can be arranged in a local vineyard or take an organised tour and don't worry who will be the designated driver.
Bergerac airport is 25 minutes drive away.
Bordeaux airport is an hour and a quarter.
The channel ports are 9 hours drive away, but on easy uncongested roads.
If you are driving from Paris you would still need to allow 6 or 7 hours.
You really need a car for any holiday in this region.
Loubes Bernac, 4km.
Ste Foy la Grande, 14km.
St Emillion, 40km (world heritage site).
On arrival you will find a welcome pack with wine, soft drinks, tea, coffee, milk, butter, eggs, cheeses, fresh fruit, bread and croissants which will get your holiday off to a good start.
We also offer an Honesty bar with 12 bottles of wine, which we ask you just to top-up as you leave.
