We were visiting from the US and wanted one central location everyone could stay as we have an extended UK family from multiple locations.. This was an ideal location and the many rooms/bed options made it easy to accommodate everyone.
Close to local shops and pubs made it easy to grab essentials and plan meals out. Bath and Bristol are both close and easy to get to for days out and larger group activities.
House as described. The kitchen is large and well equipped. The large table/dining room was great as a central meeting place that was large enough to easily accommodate everyone.
A few minor cosmetic issues - front door sticks in wet weather and heating is a little fussy (as often expected in larger old houses).
Overall a great choice for our family.
We had a great stay at the house for my sisters hen do! The room set up was perfect given for us and it was great to have lots of room options. The dining table was fab and the extra room outside was great too as were the hot tubs. We organised a taxi into Bristol for the Saturday night which worked brilliantly too. Thanks so much!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Communication
Decent property, poor communication
On the whole, the property lived up to expectations. The hot tub was a hit and the games room was a decent space for large groups. The kitchen had everything we needed and the dining area was big enough. The rooms were clean.
Communication wasn't great. I had to contact Vrbo to get the host to communicate with us as he didn't respond to my messages initially. Once they'd contacted him, the host was very prompt in his responses but not entirely helpful. The games room has been renovated and now does not have a dart board as advertised which we were disappointed with as we had planned on darts tournaments for the weekend. It's a small thing but it meant a lot to us as our friend requested a place with a dart board and I had asked the host beforehand if it had one. He told me that it did.
Other niggles from our group were complaints of cold rooms, mouldy coffee in a pot, damp walls and the outside hot tub was cold and then couldn't be used. The place needs a bit of TLC.
On the whole, we had a great time and I'm sure others would at this property too. I would recommend updated photos of the property are uploaded to the website and that the host take more care when responding to customers who have paid a lot of money to stay at the property.

Great location and great house
Stayed here Friday to Monday for a 20 person stag do. We all had a blast, the house is a great size and the games room is a nice touch. The owners of the house were very easy to contact and answered any questions promptly and efficiently. Several pubs within walking distance and supermarkets within a 10 minute drive to get supplies. Located close to both Bristol and Bath so very easy to get to these for a night out. Would thoroughly recommed staying here.

Could be so much better
This is a decent place for a big group. Plenty of beds and a big house. However, we all felt that the place could be so much better as was not maintained well at all. Neither hot tub worked properly, the jets on 1 didn't work at all, and only 1 jet worked on the other. The place could be a LOT cleaner. You have to take your own towels, and there are literally no towels anywhere, we even went out to buy our own tea towels as we were using toilet roll in the kitchen! The dishwasher did not work throughout the stay and thats a lot of washing up. Lots of light bulbs were broken so we had to move lamps around to lighten dark areas.
I would call this place good for big groups purely on the size, but do not expect luxury at all.
Communication prior was really poor and I felt nervous transferring the large sums of money as seemed very disorganised. I even had an email requesting payment weeks after it had been sent.
