This was our first holiday at the Lindsay home and don’t intend it to be our last. The house is well equipped, spacious and has a huge patio that gets the sun all day. Its location is ideal. The train station and a well-stocked supermarket is only a stone’s throw away. You then have the local management office one minute, the local buses two minutes and the beach three minutes away from the house. With all that on your doorstep the patio is very quiet and peaceful. Thanks to Jon-Paul and HomeAway for a great holiday.
I simply can't overstate how much this incredibly thorough and touching review means to us. We do, truly strive to make our apartment as accessible and 'homely' as possible, but it's only thanks to feedback and guest like yourselves that make that possible. You weren't beholden to write such a meticulous and concise piece, so I just want to let you know just how much it's appreciated. We absolutely adore our 'home away from home', and knowing that wonderful, caring and conscientious people like yourself can enjoy it too, simply means the world to us. Mi casa es su casa, William- I can't wait until you come back 'home' and enjoy it all over again!
Lovely apartment with big private patio
The apartment was plenty big enough for the 3 of us. The patio made the holiday for me, very private big shaded/sunny whatever you want. Close to everything you could need. We had a great holiday. Thankyou Jon Paul
Hi Helen! Thank you so much for the lovely words, and for being such wonderful and caring guests. It really is a true pleasure to know that such kind and conscientious people are using our home and enjoying all the comforts that it brings.
Loved this appartment so spacious As I’m disabled found it really good
Outside space brilliant
Great location Great value for money
Nothing a problem
Will use again
It was so incredibly lovely to host such kind and considerate guests, thank you so much for that, and also for the incredibly sweet words! We hope to see you again soon!
Jon-Paul's apartment is in a quiet residential area with a lovely very large and private patio area. The apartment is big enough for four people and it was very quiet. No one overlooks the patio area as the other apartment buildings are not too near. The train station is literally a couple of minutes walk away and there is a good stocked supermarket (not expensive) five mins walk away. The beach was approximately ten minutes walk and the promenade is beautiful. What we liked about the area was it was not busy and crowded like neighbouring resorts. The beach is also lovely and not busy. Sunbeds were 10 euros and had a lovely thick mattress. If you do decide to book this apartment you will not be disappointed.
Thank you so sincerely for taking the time to write such a lovely and thoughtful review. You were wonderful guests, and it was an absolute pleasure to host you!
Fabulous Apartment 👍👍👍
I had the pleasure of staying at Jon-Paul Lindsey’s apartment in April- May . The apartment was like home from home, had everything you would need. Excellent location next to train station and shops, bars, restaurants. Very clean and super large balcony to enjoy the sun. Jon-Paul couldn’t of helped any more. Always replied to messages promptly. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.
James, it’s with such sincere gratitude that we receive this tremendously thoughtful review.
We don’t underestimate your kindness and care in any way, and want to let you know just how much we appreciate that you took the time to put ‘pen to paper’ and also managed to be such a sincerely gracious and conscientious guest.
Having such wonderful, thoughtful guests at our home makes it all the easier to relax and know that it’s in tremendously safe hands.
Tumsa is truly your ‘home away from home’, please come back any time you wish!
Beautiful views & fantastic location
Fantastic equipped apartment, very clean & felt so homely 2 minute walk to train station, supermarket & 5 minutes to beach - hope to return soon
I’m so thrilled you enjoyed your stay, Donna! It’s so incredibly touching to hear such kind words too! Thank you for being such wonderful and thoughtful guests, and for taking the time to give us such a lovely review! I hope to see you ‘home’ again soon!
Does any other worldwide tourist region have such a lovely and evocative ethos? The Costa del Sol certainly lives up to its name, with 325 days of sunshine a year and warm temperatures. No wonder so many tourists from Spain, Europe and the rest of the world flock to its magnificent beaches and bustling industry. Some of the worlds best beaches that stretch from Almeria in the north to Tarifa in the south and is located alone the Malaga coastline, remains one of Spains most popular tourist destinations. People in their thousands flock to the Costa del Sol to enjoy the superb beaches, enviable climate, fantastic sporting activities and tourist attractions. Some of the best know holiday resorts in Europe are located along the sunny-coast such as Marbella, Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Nerja, Malaga capital , Torremolinos and Estepona. The Costa del Sol caters for just about every type of holiday maker, tourist and traveler to the area offering and enormous selection of activities and relaxation options. These include, numerous water parks, a zoo, safari parks, boat and fishing trips, tens of daily excursions, visits to the White washed villages, a myriad of water sports activities, amusement parks and much much more. The local and regional authorities have invested heavily in the infrastructure including Malaga airport which feed the coast and acts as the main point of entry for most travelers to the area. There is also a new ( Motorway – toll road (autopista ) which runs almost the whole length from Estepona to Malaga. An excellent, and truly efficient train service runs from Malaga through Fuengirola and beyond. This area of Spain already has the attention from the golfing world as golf lovers already revere the fantastic Costa del Golf which currently has over 75 magnificent courses to play on. Local hotspots include famous places like Malaga, the capital, and the swank Marbella.
Fuengirola is a well established holiday resort situated in the center of the Spanish Costa del Sol. With it's three sandy beaches, Los Boliches, Gaviotas and Torreblanca, which in total measures over five miles, it has become a firm favourite with the many nationalities that visit each year. Fuengirola is renowned for it's five miles of safe and sandy beaches which are overlooked by the many apartment complexes and hotels that accommodate the thousands of holidaymakers that visit each year. Together with the newly laid promenade, it is one of the best holiday resorts on the Costa del Sol. The beaches of Los Boliches, Gaviotas and Torreblanca are classified as clean and safe by the Blue Flag organization. Many watersports are available including, water skiing, paragliding and windsurfing and of course pedalos for the not so adventurous. There is also a marina, which although not as illustrious as the ones in Puerto Banus or Benalmadena, is still a pleasant place to wander and see the cruisers and fishing boats. At the southern end of town is Sohail castle which was constructed in the 12th century by the Romans. Since it was recently renovated, many cultural events are staged here including the Festival Ciudad de Fuengirola. Food and drink are particularly well catered for, with hundreds of bars and restaurants serving such diverse menus as good old British fish and chips to Spanish tapas. The world renowned 'Fish Alley', situated behind the Hotel el Puerto, is where you will find some of the best restaurants in town. A pleasant sight seeing trip by horse drawn carriage is one way to see what the resort has to offer. The largest market on the Costa del Sol is held at the fair ground in Fuengirola on Tuesday mornings. Visitors from other resorts along the coast arrive by train, bus and also on organized excursions run by the major travel companies. The market gets very congested, so please take care of your handbags, wallets etc. Also beware of the gypsy's who will try to sell you flowers or tablecloths while their accomplice dips into your pockets, bags, etc. There is also a boot sale on Saturdays held at the same venue with a smaller market near the Pyramids Hotel on Sundays, (10am). Popular mostly as a tourist destination, Fuengirola is now a bustling town along the south coast of Spain, something which it owes to tourism as much as its busy harbour. The industry in the town has helped bring modern attractions which in turn have brought many people to enjoy holidays in Fuengirola, but those attractions compliment historic and cultural aspects such as Sohail Castle and Plaza de Toros.
Located just three minutes from the Torreblanca Train station (yet far enough away to not hear any of the noise. The cheap and convenient train takes you to all the neighboring towns and cities, including Marbella and Malaga Airport.
