About this property

AppalJack Retreat - Pet Friendly home between Boone & Blowing Rock, Hot tub!

Mountain charm exudes from every bit of this lovely home, perfectly located less than a mile to Appalachian Ski Mountain and named for one of the resort's popular freestyle ski runs!

Enter the house through the warm kitchen and dining area. The kitchen has ample granite counter work space, and the table will comfortably seat 6, with room for two more on stools at the bar. The living room has a stone gas log fireplace and a corner TV. There is also a half bathroom off the living room.

The master suite has a King bed and a TV, and the private bathroom has double sink granite vanities, a Jacuzzi tub, and a separate shower.

Upstairs are two bedrooms. One room has a Queen bed, a TV, and a Nintendo GameCube console (bring your own games). The second bedroom has two twin sized beds, a TV, and a workstation with a computer and printer. Between the two bedrooms is a full bathroom with a tub/shower.

Downstairs is a second living room doubling as a theater room with built in surround sound. There is a large flatscreen TV mounted on the wall with cozy suede furnishings opposite, a poker table with several games built into it, and a corner electric fireplace. There is also a full bathroom with a shower on this level.

The main level deck has a lovely selection of Cracker Barrel rocking chairs, as well as a gas grill. The lower deck, brand new as of Summer 2018, has a table & chairs set as well as a new hot tub. Children as well as pets will enjoy the fully fenced in sloped yard in front of the house. There is a firepit on one side of the yard, perfect for hot dog roasts, s'mores, and stories around the fire after dark.

Ideally situated just minutes to Blowing Rock, Boone, Appalachian Ski Mountian, and all other attractions, AppalJack Retreat is the perfect home base for your explorations of the beautiful High Country!

Peaceful Place
We came to visit our daughter at App State, it was an easy drive to the college and also an easy drive to attractions. The cabin was cozy, felt like home, and had a beautiful view.

Best Summer Getaway!
When my husband and I picked this property we were impressed with the pictures, but knew to temper our expectations from other rentals we'd had. Completely unnecessary with this home! The house was beautiful and much larger than expected. The views were amazing. The extra amenities like the hot tub and firepit were perfect for summer nights.
