About this property

Sleeping Accommodations: Running Brook has four bedrooms, but one additional private sleeping area.
Main Level/Main Wing: King Room, King Room, Queen Room
Main Level/Second Wing: King Room, King Room

Come experience the classic mountain charm of this home nestled by a babbling creek in the peaceful woods!

The central area of the home features a long family room. At one end is a couch in front of a TV and decorative fireplace, and at the other end is a fully equipped kitchen with loads of counter space as well as an island. Between the two is a dining table for 6. Step down from the family room into the sunroom. There is another TV in this room, with a couch in front, and there is a table and set of 4 chairs on one side of the room.

There are three sleeping areas down the hallway from the kitchen. Two rooms have a King bed, and the third has a Queen bed. There is also a bathroom equipped with a shower (no tub). All rooms have a TV.

Through the sun-room is access to the deck areas. The deck is completely gated, so it is ideal for small children. The open area of the deck has a swing and an arrangement of chairs. Under the covered portion of the deck, you'll find a gas grill, and a table & chairs, as well as the breezeway to the second wing of the house.

This cozy addition features two more sleeping areas and a bathroom. To the left as you enter is a King room, and to the right as you enter is another King room. Between the two rooms is a Jack & Jill style bathroom with a jetted bathtub and a showerhead. Both rooms have a TV.

Relax in the serene wooded environment and listen to the babbling creek running beneath the house. Enjoy a bonfire in the two firepits, or relax on the porch and listen to the soothing sounds of the creek that runs under the main house. When you decide to venture out, you'll find yourself less than 10 minutes to the heart of Boone, with Blowing Rock, skiing, shopping, hiking, and every other High Country adventure just a few minutes' drive away as well. Come relax by the Running Brook today!

Roomy
Nice stay overall. There were a few things needing attention. Bathroom doors dud nit shut or lock properly, a cabinet door was broke, the floors were in need of leveling. Otherwise it was a nice, well equipped cabin.

A Very Merry Christmas
We had a great Christmas celebration. The cabin's kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook our Christmas eve and Christmas dinners without any problem. The cabin was very comfortable. We found the beds a bit too firm for our liking but you can't have everything. All in all we loved the location and the cabin and would stay again. Thank you for making Christmas 2021 a memorable one!

Beautiful location, has some drawbacks.
We loved the location and the house was laid out for fun and entertaining. Everything you need is there, including an impeccable hot tub, beautiful fireplace andultiple decks. The only drawback is that it is very damp. The house smells very musty and nothing in it dries (i.e. paper, towels). The house is built over a small stream ( Running Brook is real) and gets minimal sunlight to dry things out. If the owners were to invest in significant dehumidifier system(s) rather than the one unit in the older side, it would be almost perfect. The drive up to the location could be intimidating but we got used to it after one round trip. It's really special, so if the dampness doesn't bother you it's a gem!

Nice place group areas are small
This is a nice place for 4-6 people. The listing needs to say that the addition has a separate entrance from the house. The 2nd bathroom is also in this unattached addition. Also the living room was small. There were only 4 of us & we had to pull a chair in to gather in the living room. The deck areas are great & the setting is charming! There is a nice amount of room on the deck. Our original plan was for extra family to come & this place would not have worked well for 8-10 people.
