As the name suggests, Homecroft is a large, homely family house. The house is located overlooking the Doomsday book village of Cheriton Fitzpaine in rural Devon. There is a very high end farm shop, a community shop and two pubs in the village. The Ring of Bells pub is an award winning 14th century gastropub. Cheriton Fitzpaine is 12 miles from the county town of Exeter. There are excellent road and rail connections to any other part of the UK. London is just over two hours on a high speed train.
Homecroft is set in two acres of paddock and garden. The house has six bedrooms and can sleep up to 20. There is a very large convivial kitchen which has two pyrolytic self cleaning electric ovens, a five ring gas hob and a large four oven Aga. The sitting room has a wood burner and a 65 inch TV. Games room/cellar has a snooker table, darts, air hockey and a "bar". There is direct outdoor access from the games room/cellar. There are two fridges, one large fridge/freezer and a wine fridge. The master bedroom has an en-suite toilet with a bath: there is a further bathroom with a shower upstairs and a toilet and shower room downstairs.
Outside there is a large swimming pool which is heated in the summer. An 8 person, wood fired Scandinavian hot tub. A large covered pizza oven in a separate building in the garden. Floodlit table tennis. A tree covered outside barbecue. A large firepit and a willow Arbor. A covered hammock deck overlooking the pool. The patio has excellent views into the countryside and approximately half of it is wisteria covered.
There are hens and geese in the paddock and guests are free to collect the superb hens eggs. Homecroft has something for everyone whether you want to laze the day or be super active with the various amenities.
