Contemporary first-floor apartment, located in the beautiful fishing village of Appledore on the estuary of the River Torridge, just a short distance from the North Devon coast. Appledore, with its delightful traditional harbour, an array of shops, and a choice of eateries is very popular with families and couples alike. In high season a small ferry boat runs across the estuary to the neighbouring village of Instow, home to a yacht club and a pleasant sandy beach. For those who want to get out and explore more of the area, there is plenty to see and do within a 15-minute drive of the property, including the harbour town of Appledore, the beach at Westward Ho!, and The Big Sheep family fun park. All-in-all this area makes for a wonderful holiday destination, whether you want a relaxing or fun-filled time. External stairs from the parking area at the front of the property, lead to the front door which opens into the lounge/diner. This lovely light-filled space has a light and airy feel, thanks in part to the fresh-feeling seaside theme of the apartment. A Chesterfield-style (sofa bed available on request at an additional fee) and matching armchairs, offer a relaxing and comfortable place to sit. The dining area has a table which comfortably seats six, which is perfect for family meals. The separate kitchen has everything that guests will need including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is a separate utility / store room with washing machine. There are two bedrooms, both of which benefit from their own TV/DVD. The master is a double room with dressing area / walk in wardrobe and also an en-suite shower room with WC. The second bedroom is a twin room. The main bathroom offers a shower-over-bath and WC. Outside, there is a split-level terraced garden for guests to enjoy, which has garden furniture, making it a great spot for enjoying alfresco drinks. There is private off-road parking for one car at the front of the property.

Our Week In Appledore
The Hispaniola is a wonderful property to stay in; clean, comfortable, and with everything you need on hand for an enjoyable stay. Our local contact, Sarah, couldn't have been more helpful either. It's located close to the heart of Appledore, yet in a quiet location that offers a peaceful retreat. Possibly the most valuable feature is the parking slot, it really is worth it's weight in gold! We'd definitely stay again.

The flat was exactly as shown in an excellent location
The flat was really clean modern and spacious. Sarah was on hand for any questions. It is in a great location, 2 minutes walk from the Quay at Appledore, which is a really pretty place. There are plenty of pubs/ restaurants within walking distance but I would book ahead as they were all busy. In all a lovely week and I would recommend this accommodation and area to anyone.

Wonderful week in Appledore
We had such a wonderful week in Appledore. The accommodation and the location was just perfect. As soon as we arrived everything was so idyllic and beautiful and the host was so accommodating, kind and helpful. We already have other family members that are looking to book the same property and we hope to come back soon x
