Une agréable adresse pour une région magnifique
Un petit gîte sympa pour deux à trois personnes. C'est petit. Globalement l'endroit est sympa et d'un bon rapport qualité prix. Ce qui nous a surtout marqué c'est le village et la région.

Our 3rd stay at Greenside, which speaks volumes.
Our 3rd stay at Greenside, which speaks volumes. Caldbeck is delightful. The week was cold, wet and windy but the cottage is cosy and has recently had an upgraded kitchen and equipment. Local amenities are great, The Oddfellows pub does good food, as does the Mill cafe and the local shop very handy. Easy access to the Northern Lakes by car and if you want you can walk from the cottage in any direction and see fabulous scenery. The only negative is the bathroom is chilly. Not an issue when we have stayed in summer but when the week was as wet and cold out as ours was you do notice it. Would we recommend it? Yes. Will we go back there? Yes. Greenside is a very well appointed cottage in a nice position overlooking the village green and duck pond. The village has a shop, pub which was somewhat disappointing, gift shop and tea room. We had a very pleasant week in the lakes and would recommend Greenside Cottage Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely cottage in a fabulously peaceful location.
Lovely cottage in a fabulously peaceful location. Initially booked as we had 2 dogs. Clean and homely, open fire was great and a comfortable bed. Just what we needed. Totally enjoyed rest. The enclosed garden was safe for our dog (unfortunately one passed on before our holiday, she would have love it here) and we were able to sit out. We had gorgeous weather. The pub serves lovely food and the village shop is handy. The only negative, was there were no tongs or a fish slice in the kitchen and I like to cook. We managed fine though. This was our first visit to Greenside cottage and hopefully not our last. For us in a word - Perfection Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
