If you want to get away from it all, this is the place.
If you want to get away from it all, this is the place. A very quiet village with no shop or even street lights. There is a good pub a few doors away and the neighbours are lovely as are the owners. Make sure you take a few necessities like bread, milk, cooking oil, etc. as there is nothing provided, although they do leave a nice cake as a welcome present. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils and there are lots of games and dvds for children and adults alike. There is just a shale driveway but there are tables and chairs to sit outside on the warm evenings. Ideally situated for York, Scarborough, Whitby and the moors. Good location, comfortable and clean cottage. Very enjoyable week. Access to and leaving the cottage could be problematic due to location of Village Hall carparking.
