Garden with decked area, garden furniture, gas BBQ and fire pit. Bike store. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is a fenced pond in the grounds, 20 yards away.. Larchwood, a detached timber lodge, is situated on the edge of a forest, with the towering larches and unspoilt woodland offering a haven for wildlife, including red squirrels, hares, roe deer and many species of birds. Guests will delight in enjoying the entertaining antics of their bushy tailed neighbours! Watching the busy red squirrels provides an engrossing pastime, and nuts and seeds can be found in the shed to feed them with. In a prime position, overlooking Duke’s Pond (a medieval watering hole for Drovers) in a small, private development, Larchwood offers well-presented good quality accommodation and the opportunity to feel close to nature in idyllic surroundings. The countryside surrounding the lodge is unspoilt, with Greystoke Forest on one side and stunning views to Blencathra on the other. There are gardens to the front, rear and side of the property, as well as a generous decking area, offering ample outdoor space to enjoy the picturesque surroundings. Nearby are the charming villages of Greystoke, Caldbeck, Mungrisdale and Hesketh Newmarket, with their own pubs and local shops. Sitting between Keswick, Penrith, Carlisle and Ullswater, Larchwood offers an ideal base for exploring the northern Lake District and Cumbria. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.

In two word amazing lodge .
In two word amazing lodge . Any body booking this lodge all you need to take is your clothes it’s beautiful in the middle Off no we’re the wild life is amazing to see but only a few miles from Keswick and Penrith so peaceful it’s amazing loved staying here for a great getaway with my husband and puppy ?
