Disappointing stay to say the least
Turns out my room was unavailable (closed for repairs) and I found out the day I arrived. Neither Vrbo or the property owner informed me about this. The owner said she “sent a message “ without verifying that I, or someone, confirmed receipt of the message. I had no messages in the Vrbo app whatsoever.
I had no way to find out until I called the unit administrator, Janet, who was unhelpful.
The one that offered a solution was the cleaning lady, who was very understanding and caring.
I was given a different room that was (luckily) available. I would not have stayed in Brisas as I didn’t even choose to book the accommodation there but my family was staying there so I had no choice.
The buildings are under constant maintenance, as the construction is old. Depending on the owner, the rooms might be well preserved or falling apart.
There are bugs (spiders in one of my family rooms and ants in mine).
Beach is very nice, not enough lounge chairs.
You need to bring groceries as no restaurant is close by. Rappi or Uber have just a couple of fast food options, no decent food.
You can’t rely on the small cafeteria in the premises as you never know when the chef decides to take the day off.
