About this property

Tuscan cottage with infinity pool, pizza oven, mountain bikes, near restaurant

"Friends of Tuscany Ltd." manage all aspects of your villa booking with tailored information to get the most from your holiday. We can help to arrange a shopping delivery service, home made meal on arrival, wine tours, children’s activities, wild swimming spots, festivals, events, and restaurant recommendations based on our personal knowledge of the area built up over 30 years.

Linchetto is a one bedroomed apartment created in a traditional working farm. Relax round the beautiful 12 x 6 metre infinity pool with a fantastic view of the Apuane Mountains and spectacular sunsets.

The fascinating medieval village of Silico is a few metres walk, and there are mapped walks all around the village. . The village itself has cultural attractions and events throughout the year.

A unique holiday can be enjoyed at the farm The house and pool have been created with quiet relaxation in mind, but gentle and interesting activities can be witnessed on the farm. The farm still works in the traditional way, with sheep, goats, and horses living on the quiet green pastures nearby. It is a fantastic environment for children, who can also explore the traffic free streets of the old village.

The house has been restored from a barn. The structure and interior have been designed with a rustic finish. There is a double bedroom, bathroom and an open plan kitchen/dining/ living room with a sofa bed.

The kitchen is well equipped. A washing machine is also available.

Outside there is a private patio reached through the kitchen with table and loungers. The garden boasts panoramic view of the dramatic Apuane Mountains. There is a wood oven and a BBQ in the garden and a good childrens' playground has been created in the garden with a Flying Fox .

There are two electric mountain bikes that the guests can use.

The shared facilities are shared with another 1 bedroom apartment, a 2 bedroom apartment and a 3 bedroom apartment.

You can buy products from the farm (cheese, salamis, ham, chestnut flour, faro, marmalade and other preserves).

There is an excellent family run restaurant in Silico, only a one minute walk from the farm. The village itself is interesting; tiny but with fine buildings and wonderful views. A well known medieval festival is held there during August.

Maid service on request. Bed linen and towels provided. Final cleaning included in rental.

The area of Garfagnana is best known for its wonderful scenery, authentic ways, rustic food and outdoor activities.

Stunning location. Beautiful modern apartment
We stayed in Il Colletino Fienele for 2 weeks during August and I cannot recommend this place enough. The apartment is clean, modern and tastefully furnished. It was well equipped with a very modern kitchen and bathroom suit. There is a large private dining terrace with a BBQ, as well as a large communal eating area with a pizza oven. The owners put on a pizza night which was fantastic for the kids and we got to mingle with the other lovely guests staying at Il Colletino. The views are outstanding and the pool lovely and clean. The village of Silico had a festival when we were there. Simply a perfect holiday and we will be back! Thank you for such a memorable stay.

Very pleasant and roomy with good views
This is a lovely place on a farm high above the valley. The road up is only four miles but very twisty. When we arrived, we found no one there but there were two apartments with keys in the door and no clue as to which was ours. We chose the one with most photos on our confirmation but there were photos of both places. The second one was very dark and we would have been very disappointed with it. The apartment we had was let down only by three things, namely the absence of even a small oven, poor lighting in the main sitting area and the shower head should have been replaced rather than ineffectively taped up. On the other hand, the bed was comfortable, Bruno gave us eggs, tomatoes and wine, all from the farm. The swimming pool is beautifully set but was a touch cold in late September Walks up the hill from Sillico were good. We really liked this place and would give it 8/10. If we had been in the other apartment, it would have been more like 5.

Spectacular views of the mountains in a wonderful location
Had a wonderful week's stay at this location during the end of July/August 2016.The pool is wonderful with breathtaking views of the mountains as you are swimming and there is a kids play area as well. You are very high up in the mountains and the views really are spectacular. The accommodation is basic but comfortable with sheltered parking and is in a quiet spot.We were worried that there was no air conditioning at a hot time of year but the accommodation was fine and had a large fan if needed. The kitchen has everything you need. The medieval village of Sillico is a few minutes stroll from the accommodation and has a lovely viewing spot. We went to the medieval festival there at night which was excellent. The owners are very welcoming and make fresh stone baked pizzas on a Wednesday evening- delicious! We loved this location and our 6 year old daughter especially loved the swimming pool. There is wifi but it is a bit slow- my internet access was fine with 3G however. There is a flatscreen tv but no channels in English. It didn't bother us too much however. I would definately recommend to other travellers.
