Cozy Mountain Getaway
My family of 4 visited for five nights during spring break. We enjoyed the house very much. We found everything we needed (including THREE coffee brewing options - a regular pot, a Keurig and a Nespresso). A big snowfall was forecasted for our first night and we were concerned about making it out of the driveway in the morning. I messaged with Gavin throughout the evening about snow removal. He was very responsive and helpful. Thankfully the storm dropped a lot less snow than expected and we were thrilled to get out in the morning and enjoy 8 inches of fresh powder at Eldora. It’s worth noting that the driveway is steep and sketchy in areas. If you’re visiting in winter, you will likely want 4-wheel drive.

A beautiful place to stay. The owner is swift and communicates fast when needed. Bill, the caretaker, was tremendous and really made it feel welcoming. I will be back (during the summer.)

Wonderful time
We enjoyed our stay and hope to return. The bed was comfy, the kitchen was stocked for cooking, we loved the hot tub and even got to see a bear on the property from a safe distance. We’ll be back.

We'll certainly want to come back. The road by the home was pretty quiet, especially in the evening. We enjoyed sitting on the deck by Boulder creek the most. The train nearby was barely noticeable in the quiet house. It was a very easy 45 minutes to the campus in Boulder.

Why they chose this property

We spent several years vacationing in the Colorado Mountains. Then a few years saying how cool would it be to have our own place, Then a couple of more finding 'It'. We wanted to be secluded not remote, have running water, be with in a hour and half of a major airport, not too far from city conveniences but not to close either. We wanted to have hiking, fishing, and relaxation all in the same spot. We wanted our place to be 'rustic luxury'. We love our home and we love the great reviews and e-mails we get from others who have shared our place.

What makes this property unique

On the water, not close, not near, it is ON the South Boulder Creek. There is a 'Trout Ranch' about a mile up stream that stocks - all those beautiful trout come down to our place. 'Cabin' that is secluded with all the luxuries of a 5 star hotel. Direct TV, Blue Ray DVD, Surround Sound, Hot Tub, Sauna, Full gym on 2.5 acres of Blue Spruce and Aspen.
