About this property

South Rosedale Cottage and Retreat

From the generous deck of this 3 bedroom cottage you can gaze out onto the lagoon at the bottom of the garden, listen to the waves breaking on the nearby beach, or step down to the water-side deck. You can read, watch the native ducks swim past, ponder meandering fish, or just drift off.

Located in Rosedale Parade the Cottage is quiet and only a short walk from the beach.
The Cottage sleeps 6 adults and additional children (up to 2) may sleep on the sofa bed in the lounge room.

We are pet friendly with a dog house supplied and the back garden is fenced from the street (but not from the lagoon).

It's just a 2-minute level stroll to stunning South Rosedale beach. Great for a swim, a lazy read on the beach, or a bit of beach or rock fishing.

The main bedroom has a queen bed, the front bedroom has a double, and the middle bedroom has two single beds. There is a sofa in the lounge suitable for a child. Kitchen is fully equipped, and the house includes a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer.

Lovely stay
The location is brilliant, 2 minute walk to the beach. Very comfortable cottage with a great holiday vibe. Best you bring some DVDs you have been meaning to watch as there is no televisual options! (or just read a book!)

Dreamy Stay
We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is in a great location with lots of good walks and very close to the beach. Good kitchen amenities and very comfortable. Would recommend!

Where’s the bath?
Charming rustic cottage only moments from a beautiful beach. Comfy beds & good heating. Unfortunately, the floors inside were very dirty & the oven needs a clean. The major disappointment is the absence of the bath AS ADVERTISED.

Awesome stay
We had a fabulous stay at South Rosedale Cottage. Very close to the beach, pet friendly (for our dogs), clean, and had everything we needed. Alan was very helpful before and during our stay. Would absolutely recommend to other guests and would love to stay again.

A lovely beach holiday with the dachshunds
Our family had a fun time at Rosedale. So close to the beach, lovely walks on the sand, swims in the waves, meals on the deck, endless ball chasing in the yard (dogs). We took a little excursion to view seals sunbathing on rocks & the Guerilla Bay lighthouse. Woolies & Alpha Fresh delivered to the door so we didn’t have to waste even one minute at the shops! The washing/drying machine was a novelty & a great convenience. The dirty things went in the machine at bedtime & came out washed & dry in the morning!

Lovely Cottage in Rosedale
We enjoyed our stay in this peaceful cottage close to the beach. The Cottage is comfortable and well furnished. There is a generous selection of kitchen, bathroom and cleaning products and the kitchen is well equipped with crockery, utensils etc. Looking out over the lagoon is a beautiful way to start the day.

Beautiful nature stay
Very peaceful beach shack at naturally beautiful Rosedale. Great place for a recharge. Lots of walks. Nunns Beach is a great protected beach when the main Rosedale beach is windy and rough. The wildlife is amazing too. However, as the creek is now low the fenced yard has a gap at the water's edge, so our dog's did briefly venture into the neighbours yards.

Girls weekend away
Brilliant location, was a little turned off because of the couch outside and cobweb’s outside however, the inside was clean and welcoming. The back deck was great, it was an easy walk to the beach and had an amazingly thoughtful choice of condiments and ‘essential’ items. Would definitely go again with a small group. Thank you 😊

Great place for a beach break
We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was just what we needed for a family break with our dog. So close to the beach. The house layout worked well and the back deck was lovely to sit out on.

Nice little property in a great location
The house is easy to find and backs onto the creek. It is a short walk to Rosedale beach, which is pet-friendly. The house is well-enough equipped, although it could do with a good clean and being aired out more frequently.

Cosy Little Cottage
Lovely little place to stay with the garden going right down to the water. It was very well equipped with everything you would need for a relaxing holiday. A very sad looking futon/couch arrangement in the lounge area which spoilt the otherwise pleasant decor. We were told that the cleaner couldn't get there on the day we checked in. As it happened we were very fortunate that the previous occupants had left it reasonably clean, but still not really a satisfactory situation. The garden area needs a good cleanup which would be far more appealing on arrival, it just didn't look quite as desirable as the profile photos.

It's a small hamlet, very quiet with a great beach. The Cottage has a great atmosphere and is a perfect treat. Snorkelling is next door at Guerrilla Bay and kayaking is down at Mossy Beach. The kids love Mogo zoo.
