About this property

Peaceful pet friendly bushland escape

The Location - The property is situated on the edge of Tomaree National Park. From the back yard there is private access to National Park walking trails, turn left and the track takes you to Box Beach (9 min walk), Wreck Beach, Stephens Peak, Shoal Bay Shopping Village/Cafe's (20 min walk), Shoal Bay Beach and also Tomaree Mountain. If you turn right, the track takes you to the Fingal Spit, Fingal Island and the concrete bike/walking track to Fingal Bay. Box Beach is the closest beach and only 700m away, it is a picturesque unpatrolled beach that offers amazing views of the Pacific Ocean. If you are seeking patrolled beaches Fingal Beach is only 1.6km away where you will find a lovely reserve with a playground, picnic tables, BBQ's and an off leash dog exercising area. There is a lovely cafe and restaurant upstairs at the surf club. Shoal Bay offers a selection of shops, restaurants and cafes as well as a pristine sandy beach.

The House - Entering on the ground level you are greeted by a huge entry foyer.

Upstairs is emphasized by natural light and high beamed ceilings, creating a warm and spacious environment. The open plan living and dining area provides plenty of space for carefree entertaining, with the lounge room offering a 55 inch flat screen smart TV, Google Chrome cast, sound bar, ceiling fans, unlimited Wi-Fi and Tomaree Mountain views. The well equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, large oven, gas stove, coffee machine and plenty of bench space. Bi-fold doors open out to an air conditioned family room with more seating and another smart TV which form the basis of a peaceful and quiet retreat sprawling onto an expansive timber deck (partially covered) for summer BBQ's and alfresco dining. The deck offers outdoor furnishings, gas BBQ, pizza oven and outdoor heating for the cooler nights, this area leads out to a fenced grassed backyard with private access into the National Park and beaches.

There are three carpeted bedrooms upstairs, all with ceiling fans. The master suite has a queen size bed and offers an en-suite. The other two bedrooms provide two single beds in one and a tri-bunk in the other. The main three way bathroom offers a large bath and shower.

Guests also have use of the large laundry with washing machine, shower and toilet. A single lock up garage and a single carport provide parking for two cars.

Other features of this fantastic home is that it is pet friendly - outside, small pets only. Please note no large dogs allowed
Please note that paralysis ticks are present in the Port Stephens area and protection for your pet is important - please speak to your vet.

A strict maximum of six guests is enforced. This property has a policy of no gatherings or parties. Please be mindful of neighbours.

Due to the shared driveway and narrower approach, the property is not suitable for trailers and boats.

Linen packs and bed makes are provided for this property.

Three night minimum stay. There are definitely smoke alarms at this property.

Well equipped home in a leafy & quiet area. We enjoyed our stay at the house and the surrounding areas. Loved the Greek restaurant (Atmos). When we arrived we had to air out the house and we spent 30 mins cleaning the outdoor couch and table. There was not enough toilet paper and we had to buy more. Otherwise it was all lovely,

Incredibly well equipped Home
Great for a getaway where everything is there for you! Very warm upstairs where living and sleeping quarters are. AC doesnt reach the bedrooms. Lots of space and under cover outdoor seating however back fence too low which allowed other big dogs off leash to hang over the fence. Did not feel we could leave ours in yard unattended so no dinners out. Otherwise a very good stay overall in a home where everything was at hand to make you feel at home.😊

Excellent property with great facilities
Was impressed with the size of the house. Very comfortable with all the facilities you need for a short- or long-term stay. Great living areas (indoor and outdoor). Also loved the location backing on to the National Park. Was very quiet and peaceful. Only minor criticism is the back deck could do with a few repairs. Overall, we very much enjoyed staying here and definitely recommend it.

Fantastic getaway location
Excellently appointed home with an abundance of everything you could possibly need for a short or long stay, close enough to shops to be convenient but far enough away to be really quiet and tranquil. Loved the bush setting at the rear which opened up to trail runs or beaches with in walking distance. This house has all your needs covered for a small or large group stay Thanks to the hosts
