Buckberry - Luxury Home Near Highlands!

Welcome to Buckberry, located 3.2 miles from the center of Highlands and 7 miles from Cashiers. This is a well-appointed 3 bedroom home, nestled within a well-developed community. There are 2 community ponds complete with fish and resident ducks and the property has rolling manicured front and back yards. The very comfortable living room has a gas log fireplace and a smart TV with satellite service. There is a sun room off the living room with a comfortable couch. The open deck is accessible from the sun room and has rockers to laze away the summer afternoons with a good book or a glass of wine. The kitchen has granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. For your convenience, there is a Keurig coffee machine as well as a traditional drip coffee machine. A large island with a sink also serves as a snack bar. Off the kitchen and living room, there is a breakfast nook with a lovely view. Also off the kitchen is the formal dining room which seats eight. The King master bedroom has a 55" smart TV with satellite service. The en-suite bathroom has a walk-in shower. There are two guest bedrooms each with queen beds and 48" smart TVs with satellite TV service. The guest bedrooms share a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Off the main living area is a staircase that leads to a large loft area with sofa and chairs as well as a 48" smart TV with satellite service. There is plenty of level parking at Buckberry as well as a double garage.

* Landmark Vacation Rentals is following strict Covid-19 precautions to ensure that our employees and guests are staying well. We provide sheets, pillowcases, and a light blanket for each bed. Bathroom towels are also provided. These linens are professionally laundered. For guests' safety, the top-layer bedding (quilts, comforters, etc.) has been removed. Please bring additional blankets with you. Thank you for understanding and helping so that all of us can remain safe during these unprecedented times.

Your reservation includes a damage protection plan. The damage protection plan is $40, and it covers up to $500 in damages. In lieu of purchasing the damage protection plan, guests have the option to choose a refundable security deposit. If you would like to pay a refundable security deposit, please contact us. The security deposit is $500 and will be administered subject to the NC Tenant Security Deposit Act.

Beautiful Location
I was extremely happy with the home, the kids loved playing in the big yard and my husband and I liked relaxing on the deck. They have all the kitchen accessories you'll need and its beautifully furnished. It is only a 7 minute drive into town where there is plenty of shopping and dining options. Tip: Make dining reservations early, they book up and grocery shop on your way in. The Bryson's Grocery Store in town is very crammed and expensive.

This is a lovely home on a beautiful property. We loved the ponds and streams, and our dog enjoyed inspecting every inch. Short drive to town made our trip very enjoyable. The house was clean, comfortable, and was provisioned as promised. We loved our visit and would definitely stay here again!

Lovely setting
The house itself was perfect and we didn’t lack for anything. The furniture needed updating and the rugs were dirty. I was doing yoga so close and personal. Such cheap furniture just wasn’t all that comfortable but ok. I’m not sure that I would rent this again but maybe. What made it not great was the evidence of other dogs that had stayed there but it was so nice to be able to bring ours. The cushions had never been cleaned underneath, that kind of thing and the furniture never moved to get remnants of previous guests. It still gets a good rating.

A Fortunate Accident
We were originally booked at another property in the area but that owner unexpectedly cancelled on us, leaving us to find another place with short notice. But after finding Buckberry we realized that THIS was the place we were supposed to stay! First off, the property is large with nice, well maintained landscape. We spent much of our time outside strolling the yard and ponds. When it was raining or too chilly, we hung out on the large enclosed porch. We wanted something with water, seclusion, and views, and this property had it all. The house was clean and well appointed with nice decor and finishes. The kitchen had all we needed which was important since we prepared all of our meals there. Well with one exception: the vegetable peeler needs to be replaced ;). Having a large deck with both covered and uncovered portions was nice. The grill worked great. Geographically the house is a quick drive to Cashiers or Highlands. The property management folks were professional and very kind, and they accommodated all of our special requests without question. Thank you!

Great home and great location
It was perfect for our family of four plus our two dogs. We have a 2 and 4-year-old and they loved exploring the giant yard, ponds and stream that are on the property. All the neighbours were super friendly and helpful with local suggestions. I highly recommend this home if you have some kids who like to play outside.

Beautiful home and a great location
Our stay at Buckberry was wonderful! The home is modern, nicely decorated and spacious. The beds and linens were very comfortable! We cooked several meals in the kitchen and never felt like we were missing anything. It is nestled back in a sweet community with a large yard for children or dogs to play. We enjoyed sitting on the glassed in porch and watching the deer drink from the stream that runs through the yard. It is very convient to both Highlands and Cashiers. We truly couldn’t have been happier and would definitely stay there again!!

Terrific spot!
This home was beautiful! The entire interior has been completely renovated and is HGTV gorgeous. We could not have had a better time. Relaxing, convenient and luxurious. Thanks for having us!
