The Legendary San Jose House on Fremont Street is in Tombstone's Historic District. The San Jose House, was built 1879 as Tombstone's 1st boarding house and is one of Tombstone's oldest structures. We are a short distance to main street, the Tombstone Epitaph and The Crystal Palace Saloon. The San Jose House is historically documented, appeared in movies, and also TRUE WEST Magazine. Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, Batt Masterson, and many others stayed here including Josephine Marcus. Enjoy Mountain Views and the Sunrise with your morning coffee from our covered porch. Hang your hat & park your boots in The Town Too Tough To Die, and stay at the historic "San Jose House" in the heart of downtown Tombstone.

The San Jose House has been in our family for over 28 years. It belonged to my husband's Mom and we have lots of memories with our children growing up. We have been in Tombstone for over 30 years. My husband Eddie has been a SAG Actor and Stuntman for 30 years, has owned western shows and performed live shows around the globe for many years. We hope you enjoy the San Jose House as much as we have over the years.

Why they chose this property

The San Jose House is a National Historic Landmark property and was built by Samantha Fallon in 1879. It is the 1st Lodging House in Tombstone. Many famous people have stayed at the San Jose House including Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, Bat Masterson, and Josephine Marcus. The house is built of Adobe, and it in the Historic District of Tombstone a short distance from the main street.
