About this property

MODERN TWIN STUDIO IN WALBERSWICK

Eastwood Lodge is situated conveniently next to footpaths leading to Walberswick and Southwold. It’s located between Blythburgh, an enchanting Suffolk village with historical Anglo-Saxon connections, and Walberswick, a popular seaside destination and home to several stars. The lodge is situated in the Suffolk Coast National Nature Reserve, a fifteen-minute walk away from the captivating Walberswick town, and its stunning beaches.

The lodge is comprised of five separate units:

On the ground floor, there is the main unit and a smaller unit, with three more units on the first floor, which have a range of set-ups to meet the needs of a variety of guests.

This spacious, newly refurbished twin studio is located on the first floor, it sleeps up to two people, and has it’s own en-suite bathroom and kitchenette. It’s fully equipped, with a television and internet, and the kitchenette includes a microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge, with all the cutlery and utensils you need.

Firstly, there are communal washing facilities, which consists of a washing machine, clotheshorse and a large sink. Additionally, the guests are encouraged to enjoy the vast garden which surrounds the lodge and are welcome to bring their dogs, at an additional charge of £10 payable in cash to the housekeeper. However, please be aware that there is a working farm next-door, which is not part of the lodge, so we kindly ask the guests not to enter this property out of respect for the farmer.

Wonderful stay!
The property is exactly as described and communication with the manager was excellent. Particularly loved the touch of bread/milk/OJ/tea/coffee etc.. The walk through the garden gate to the bridle path up into the village was beautiful. My only critism was the shower, despite instructions on how to get it hot, we were unable to so had to have cold showers. I would definately recommend and would absoluety stay there again.

Really great base for exploring the coast. Stayed with a friend and it had all we needed. Was warm, comfortable, well equipped and the hosts were very quick to respond.

Comfortable property
Bed was comfortable. Bedroom and bathroom were ample size. Location was fine, but unfortunately we had forgotten our head torches, so couldn't walk on the path at night to Walberswick for something to eat. We were also unlucky because the people below us were talking loudly until after 1.30 am at night and so we had a bad night's sleep. The property was clean and there were some breakfast things supplied, but no sink in the kitchen area to wash the dishes. I would say it was perfectly fine for one or two nights. Walberswick and Southwold are both lovely and there are plenty walks and things to do nearby.
