Cute house
The house was cute but a little creepy. The downstairs bathroom basement was open and we couldn’t keep it closed so someone had to come to fix it, they just held it shut with a nail. Thankfully my older boys didn’t care about sleeping down there, I would have been scared!! I wish it had a washer/dryer for longer stays, otherwise we had a great time! It was nice having the pool table! The staff is always friendly and nice :)

Decent vacation rental for the price, with some not-so-great takeaways
Positives: The pool table and family room areas were nice to hang out in, and the TV's equipped with Chromecast made playing music/watching TV easy for all. Bathrooms were in good condition and cleanly. The kitchen appliances all worked well and were clean. Couches and chairs were all fairly comfortable. Property managers from Big Bear Vacations were very friendly and communicative throughout the process. Now for the not-so-great stuff, upon our arrival, the driveway was covered with ice and snow, making it difficult for all guests to park their vehicles. There did not appear to be any snow shovel available or salt on the property. The back porch was also covered in ice/snow so we did not end up using the hot tub or grill. Cookware had some grease on them, which required us to wash things before and after use. The downstairs bedroom bed was not very comfortable, it had a large indent in the middle and was quite springy, making it difficult for two people to sleep comfortably, as well as the fact that it was on wheels. I can't speak for the other beds in the house. Overall a decent short-term stay for the price, with some drawbacks to consider. Property managers were diligent and friendly.

Old and tired
Not a good stay. We chose this location because it had enough beds for our family and allowed pets. There was a pool table that the kids liked… the water was hot… that’s the best parts. Tired, old worn out. Floors were uneven which made us feel a little dizzy. Hot tub buttons were broken, faucet in bathroom was broken. No blow dryer, no matches even though they provided us with wood. No dishwasher. No laundry facilities on site. It was cleanish but because of the old, dark outdated decor it felt dirty. We checked out early because we couldn’t stay another night.

Winter Snow & Parking- During winter months the driveways, steps, porches, decks, and other outdoor areas at your property may not be accessible due to snow or ice. Our teams are on fixed routes for snow and work alongside city and county resources to clear roads, driveways, walkways etc. Guests should be prepared in winter months to shovel themselves in or out of the property and off of the street in these snowstorm events. As there is no street parking allowed in Big Bear it is extremely important that guests make every attempt to get vehicles off the street for the snowplows. California Law requires that vehicles traveling to Big Bear from November thru April have snow chains in their vehicles however we also recommend proper footwear, an emergency kit, and an extra snow shovel.
