Okay, not great
The house advertised two beds, however, once we arrived at the property, we realized that one of the beds was actually a couch and the other was just a mattress that was tucked underneath one of the beds. Otherwise, the house was basically as advertised. The pictures might’ve made the house look a bit bigger than it really is. As far as dealing with the management company, that could have been a lot better. We arrived at 2pm, two hours before our checkin time of 4pm. We were told that the house was already cleaned but that an “inspector” needed to do a walk through before we can officially checkin. So we drove to the property and waited. And waited. And waited some more. Finally, a cleaning crew arrived 30 minutes before checkin. We felt cheated and lied to. We requested a late check out the day of as instructed but we’re not accommodated. The reason that was given to us was because there was another group checking in that day and they needed time for the cleaning crew. I found that to be a hilarious excuse considering checkout time is 10am, leaving a 6 hour window and the fact that the cleaning crew didn’t arrive until 30 minutes before our checkin time. The house wasn’t nice enough for us to want to return, and I will try to avoid Big Bear Vacation Rentals in the future.

Winter Snow & Parking- During winter months the driveways, steps, porches, decks, and other outdoor areas at your property may not be accessible due to snow or ice. Our teams are on fixed routes for snow and work alongside city and county resources to clear roads, driveways, walkways etc. Guests should be prepared in winter months to shovel themselves in or out of the property and off of the street in these snowstorm events. As there is no street parking allowed in Big Bear it is extremely important that guests make every attempt to get vehicles off the street for the snowplows. California Law requires that vehicles traveling to Big Bear from November thru April have snow chains in their vehicles however we also recommend proper footwear, an emergency kit, and an extra snow shovel.
