Located on the edge of historic Sea Acres community (circa 1869), and just a few miles from Moran State Park, Obstruction Pass State Park, and Doe Bay Resort. With miles of trails, two large lakes for swimming and kayaking, our State Parks offer the best of outdoor fun during these times of limitations.

Doe Bay Resort has always been a favorite spot for locals and visitors to the "east side". They offer beaches, Shearwater kayaking tours, Day Use Spa passes (hot tub, massage and sauna spa), a reward-winning Cafe and Renowned Chef for delicious meals, and live music each week.

With the charm of a classic island home, Spotted Deer Hideaway offers an open floor plan. Whether you're cooking, dining or relaxing in front of the fire, you can easily enjoy the company of your family and friends in one common, spacious area.

The Master Bedroom includes a King bed and sitting area that looks out to the water and deck. The ensuite bathroom has a combo shower/tub.

The Guest bedroom is located in the loft with big views to the water and islands beyond. The ensuite bathroom has a shower, toilet and vanity.

The Kid's Room has bunk beds, closet and its own full bathroom with a shower in the hallway.

The outdoor living is the best! Relax on the deck, and watch the marine life playing in the water with abundant peace and quiet. A brand new BBQ with dining table allows for those special meals with your family and friends.

Super clean and well stocked, this island gem can host your summer fun, as well as winter excursions! Our fireplace will keep you toasty warm whether you are back from kayaking or enjoying a good book on our comfy seating!

Excellent WiFi and Smart TV provided free.

Sublime views, silence and solitude
The "Spotted Deer Hideaway" is indeed hidden away, situated at the end of an obscure gravel road and perched on a hillside overlooking the Salish Sea (Puget Sound). If you're looking for peaceful seclusion and natural beauty, you've come to the right place. However, be aware that this seclusion comes at the cost of convenience: the nearest legitimate grocery store, and most restaurants, are a half hour's drive away. There were a few maintenance issues we encountered upon arrival, but these were swiftly handled by Sherri the property manager, who was friendly and responsive. The lack of proximity to restaurants makes the kitchen all the more important, which made the the lack of high quality kitchenware (e.g., cheap pots and pans) a bit more frustrating than it might otherwise have been. On the other hand, the kitchen is spacious, clean, and has a nice layout. Overall, some little imperfections, but a great place.

Superbly built, clean, well-equipped, tranquil gem
We stayed here for a quiet week with our adult children and it was everything we hoped for and more. The three bedrooms served us well, as did each bedroom having access to its own bathroom. The living room and dining room view is stunning and we each took time every day to take it in. The kitchen is well-equipped, so we fixed most of our meals ourselves. We also enjoyed playing some of the games and putting together jigsaw puzzles and had a very pleasant and relaxing stay. We are seriously considering coming again next year.

Exquisite Island Home
This house was all it was advertised and more. The views were incredible and we actually spotted an Orca Whale and the Eagles were there everyday. The supplies at the house were awesome and I cooked a wonderful Christmas dinner. We could not have had more fun. Thank you for sharing your home with us. I recommend this house for everyone.

Holiday getaway
Our family stayed for 3 nights and the house was just as listed and reviewed. Tucked away in a very quiet area with terrific views of the Sound and a nice telescope to check out boats and wildlife. Lots of room, good heating, and the beds were very comfortable. Sherri was fast in response communication if we had a question. We liked coming in the winter season as walks were quiet & foggy, with break through sun, which made for great, uncrowded walks at Moran State Park but I would definitely stay at this comfortable rental any season!
