The Space:
This 3BA/3.5BA rooftop pool home is inside a tranquil gated residential area just a drive from the sights and attractions in La Paz. There are nearby restaurants, grocery & convenience stores, shopping and more! Look no further, this will be the perfect place to stay and to make great new memories in La Paz!
The main spaces of the home:
- The stairs up to the entrance lead you into an open-living space with stylish furnishings, plenty of comfy sofa seating, a wall-mounted SmartTV – perfect for downtime moments at home between sightseeing and the beach! Leave the curtains open to welcome lots of natural light into the space.
- The granite-countertop kitchen is fully-equipped with quality appliances to prepare any meal to enjoy at home. You’ll have a gas oven and stove plus the extras like a coffee maker to perk up in the morning and a blender for margarita afternoons! There’s also a dishwasher for easy cleanups! There’s a countertop breakfast bar with two barstool seats to have a coffee or a quick bite.
- The dining area has a nice dining table to seat 8 comfortably for a relaxing sit-down meal at home. Perfect for enjoying some laughter and chit chat or to plan your activities for the next day.
- There are 3 bedrooms in the home with 4 beds to accommodate 7 guests:
BEDROOM 1: 1 King bed, master bedroom, the top floor w/private bathroom (access to upper roof deck barbecue area is just outside the bedroom door)
BEDROOM 2: 1 Queen bed (2nd floor) with direct access to the pool & lounge area
BEDROOM 3: 2 Twin/single beds (2nd floor) with access to the pool & lounge area
STUDIO AREA: 1 Queen-sized sofa bed (main level)
- The studio space with the queen-sized sofa bed is on the main living room level with a full bathroom adjacent.
- A wonderful 2nd-level rooftop pool and lounge area with wet bar and table area for preparing and enjoying meals al fresco. On the upper rooftop sun terrace level (just off the master bedroom) you’ll find another dining table, a sofa seat with a sun umbrella and a BBQ grill. Up here you’ll catch amazing bay and ocean views. You can dine, sunbathe by the pool, sip cocktails, catch a La Paz sunset or stargaze at night in these private spaces that will be the highlight of your stay!
- There’s iron, ironing board, hairdryer and a dishwasher in the home for added convenience.

The Colinas del Sol home is inside the Alttus Sunset gated residential area just a short drive from the seaside Malecón (waterfront esplanade) and downtown La Paz.

Getting Around:
The home is about 9 miles | 14.5 km or about a 22-25-min drive to/from the Airport (LAP) and a it’s a 2.5 hour drive or 121 miles | 195 km to/from San Jose del Cabo International Airport (SJD).
Other Things to Note:
There are renovations and gardening taking place in the public areas near this unit, ongoing until the end of April 2025. Please be aware you may experience some noise associated with this work during this period.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: During the summer months, the area experiences water shortages where at times you can be without water for 4-5 hours. Recycled water is an easy alternative to help us, and the environment, with the shortage of water resources. We ask that you please use water consciously, turning it off when it's absolutely not needed and recycle your shower water for times when needed to flush the toilet. (Simply place the bucket under the running shower while you wait for the water to warm up and use it later, if needed, to flush the bathroom). Our local team can provide you with assistance if you have questions.
Washer and dryer is out of service until further notice.
We provide some basic essentials complimentary upon arrival (note: these are not replenished): a roll of paper towels, a set of napkins, a sponge, liquid soap & trash bags. And in each bathroom, you’ll find a roll of toilet paper, some liquid hand soap, a bar of soap for the shower, shampoo, and bath towels.
Please follow all pool rules at the complex. All guests must wear swimwear. Entry to the pool area is permitted only when wearing suitable swimwear.
Please keep in mind that any damaged or lost items such as towels, sheets, blankets, broken armchairs, furniture or wall stains will be charged at the time of check out.
Electricity is not included for long-term stays of 15 nights or more. There’s a $56 USD weekly electricity fee in this case, charged on the day of check in.
A security deposit may be required prior to arrival or at check-in subject to the booking platform used to make the reservation. This fee is charged as a credit card transaction and refunded after check-out, provided all terms are met.
Guests will be requested to sign a Rental Agreement upon booking confirmation.
There is a penalty of $20.00 USD for late check-outs.
We do not supply any food or cooking condiments. All food items are removed after each guest checks out. Therefore there will be no supply of condiments like cooking oil, salt & pepper, sugar, etc. prior to check-in. If you plan to cook at home, you can easily pick these items up at a nearby supermarket.
HOUSE RULES:
- Travelers must be at least 21 years of age or older to book.
- No smoking of any kind is allowed on the premises. Smoking tobacco, cannabis or the use of any recreational drugs in the house is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply will incur a $300 penalty.
- No parties or events are permitted, illegal activity is prohibited and excessive noise won't be tolerated. No loud music is allowed after 10 pm. Please be respectful of the neighbors.
- No more guests than those listed in your reservation are allowed.
- No tent or other structures may be set up on the ground of the property.
- Renters agree to cover any charge related to damages that occurred during their stay or cover necessary extra-cleaning charges if such is needed after their stay.
- Renters may be required to provide a government ID on the day of checking in or during your stay.
- Please avoid moving furniture.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Please avoid hanging any towels, bathing suits or clothing on the balcony/terrace railings.
- Please remember to close the umbrella on the rooftop after using them.
- Please avoid sitting on the sofas while wearing wet clothes - this practice stains fabrics and creates mold. You will be responsible for any damages made to the furniture during your stay.
- Please close and lock all doors and windows upon check out. By failing to do so you will incur a penalty of $50 USD.
Interaction with Guests:
This is a self-check-in property and it’s located inside a gated residential area. All access codes and check-in instructions will be sent to you within 24 hours of your arrival.
You’ll have complete privacy during your stay, but we’re available 7 days a week, should you need anything - just write us a message.
