Great location / Functional
The location can't be beat in Center City - literally between the convention center and Reading Terminal, near a mall and lots of shopping, easy walk to Old Town.
Close to SEPTA. Easy check-in/out. And even though it's right in the middle of the action, it wasn't noisy at night.
But think of it as a basic space...a more spacious hotel room. At check-in late in the evening, we found an apartment that had not been cleaned and the sheets very obviously not changed. There were 3 towels and 2 washcloths for four people. It took until 5 PM the next day, but the sheets did get changed and more towels added; the other complaints we had (dirty bathroom, needed sweeping) never got addressed.
Some other oddities: it looks like a full kitchen, but there are no bowls (don't pick up ramen for dinner!). There's a knife block, but no sharp knives anywhere. The refrigerator - which you can't see in the pictures - is in the middle of the living room next to the couch. It's a washer-dryer single unit, but it works well.
Those were mostly just quirks of the apartment, and we worked around it. The host was generous in providing a refund for the cleaning snafu, which we appreciated - but spending the first day of our vacation dealing with that was a pain.
On the whole, the location is the draw. It's pricey for what you get. If you're just looking for more space in Philly, it's a viable option.
