About this property

Studio Perfect Location 305 with Pool and Hot Tub

Summary:
The Grand Lodge is a great budget friendly hotel for you to enjoy the outdoor activities and scenery that Crested Butte has to offer. This is a no frills hotel, but offers a comfortable place to stay at an affordable price.

The Space:
Please be aware that the Grand Lodge pool and hot tub will be closed starting on May 8, 2024. The hot tub maintenance is set to be completed on 5/24/24. The pool maintenance has been extended and we will update this note when we have further information. As of now, the pool is closed.

The Grand Lodge is a 3 star hotel. It is made up of condos that have been purchased by individual owners. Each owner chooses their management company. We manage 13 in the building. There are few things to keep in mind when you stay at the Grand Lodge.

The Pros: Crested Butte is absolutely breathtaking! The location of the Grand Lodge is EPIC, a very short walk (less than 8 minutes) to the bottom of the ski resort! On the way you will pass a coffee shop and a few restaurants! The pool and hot tub are great. The pool has an indoor section as well as outdoor. The hot tub is large (probably the largest compared to other hotels). Both are kept very clean and maintained. There is also a large steam room for relaxing after a long day. The Grand Lodge has free outdoor parking (guests are given one parking pass per room ). In addition every room has a mini kitchen that comes in handy for snacks. Overall the convenience is what makes the Grand Lodge special!

The Cons: There is a management company that manages the building and amenities. They can make last minute decisions that we don't have control over (example closing an amenity without notice). The building is old and the rooms are a little weathered. With that being said, the rooms are clean (we take pride in making sure cleanliness is our top priority). We even go an extra step and do deep cleans during shoulder season twice a year. None of the rooms have air conditioning, there is a thermostat for heat.

Overall if you are expecting all the bells and whistles that come along with a 5 star hotel, you will be disappointed if you book here.

This spacious studio condo is located right near the ski lifts, just steps from Crested Butte Mountain Resort and Trailhead Discovery Museum. This ski lodge is 0.2 mi from Trailhead Children's Museum and 0.2 mi from Psycho Rocks. The room has a king size bed and a Murphy bed that pulls down into an additional bed. The room has a private bathroom and living area space. The kitchenette is equipped with a one burner stove, a small dishwasher and a fridge, as well as a kitchen sink. There is a TV with cable.

Grand Lodge Amenities
The lodge has complimentary wireless Internet access and concierge services. Additional amenities include ski storage, gift shops/newsstands, and a fireplace in the lobby. You'll be on the slopes in no time with the complimentary ski shuttle. There is also a 24 hour business center, fitness center, indoor pool, full spa services including a sauna and a spa tub.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the condo and Grand Lodge amenities. The Grand Lodge has a Pool, Hot Tub, Gym, Steam room, free parking, (guests are given one parking pass per room ) EV charging and is in the perfect location to Mt. Crested Butte. (please note if any of the amenities are not operational during your stay, we will not offer a refund as we don't have control over the amenities).

The Neighborhood:
Elk Avenue is a great place to shop, dine, visit historic buildings and art galleries.
Crested Butte offers outdoor activities in all seasons! It is a great place to enjoy hiking, biking, rafting, skiing, and snowshoeing.
The Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport is a 45-minute drive from the Grand Lodge Crested Butte Colorado. Landmarks and attractions that are easily accessible from The Grand Lodge Crested Butte include the Donita’s Cantina. The Grand Lodge at Crested Butte is just a 14-minute walk from the Crested Butte Mountain Resort.

Getting Around:
Most Guests bring their car to get around (we have a free parking lot with EV charging), but there are shuttles to get around if you'd prefer!

Other Things to Note:
Business ID number 304400

This property does not have air conditioning.

Please note: we do not do daily linen service like a traditional hotel (this is Airbnb style). However, if you'd like a turnover to be done during your stay, please give us a 24 notice so we can coordinate with the cleaner. There is an extra cost for this, which is $50.

-Unfortunately, the HOA does not allow pets on the 3rd floor. You may see pets, however if an owner is staying in their unit, then they are allowed to have a pet (this is the buildings policy and has nothing to do with High Rocky Homes).

Room worked well for two of us. Decent bed, good mini-kitchen, ok fridge. Just what we needed for a long weekend. A bit noisy with the icemaker in the hall outside and a door that needs some sealing. Still, great location and plenty of room. Also has a responsive and positive management company that seems to be ready to help.

Not a good fit.
This property wasn't a good fit for us. There was no laundry in the room of the building. We had to go to a different building. The refrigerator wasn't cold and the freezer not usable. The place was clean and in a good location. We would not stay here again.

Summer getaway
Stayed 3 nights mid-week during the summer. Pros: Murphy bed is a king. Coffee for Keurig provided. Good Wifi. Pool and pool towels. Clean room. Cons: This unit is directly across from the elevators and ice machine so there is noise with foot traffic, etc. Not enough pillows; only one extra pillow provided for murphy bed instead of 2. One chair was broken and wood was sticking out which was dangerous with kids. Ice part of fridge is super tiny and had a lot of ice residue which made space hard.

Enjoyed our stay. Room was confy and clean. Only caveat was the room has no air-conditioning. So we had to open the window and it was noisy from a off road motorcycle event starting early in the morning. But all and all it was a comfortable stay. And great price.

Average Place to Stay
Our room looked as pictured in the listing. It was clean, and the bed was comfortable. It was somewhat small but adequately stocked for an efficiency kitchen. The building is old with dark, dingy hallways. There is no AC. The people who booked directly through the lodge were able to get portable ACs. Our room was hot with only 1 small window that opened. We put a fan in the window, which cooled the room. Unfortunately, it was loud outside until after 11p.m., and the street light was in my face - in order to have the window open. We needed to get up early to hike, so this was a disappointment.
