This cabin is fully furnished with 4 flat screen TV's (each offering cable), a foosball table, a Wii gaming system, and an IPod station. The charming and well-appointed kitchen offers the conveniences of a microwave, gas stove/oven, cooking utensils, dishes, silverware, coffee maker, and so much more! To top it all off, this home is centrally located only 8 blocks from the lake, one mile from Snow Summit, and within easy walking distance of the Village. It is also located in a quiet neighborhood just a few hundred yards from the National Forest.

Each bedroom in the home offers comfortable furnishings and charming décor. The master bedroom is located on the upper level and features a log style queen sized bed, a flat screen TV with cable, a private sitting area with a futon sleeper, a crib, a private bathroom, and a balcony with spectacular wooded views. The second bedroom is located on the main level and offers a king sized bed along with a flat screen TV with cable. The third bedroom is perfect for children and offers a twin over full bunk bed, a flat screen TV with cable, and a foosball table.

Cozy house
We were very enjoying staying there. The kitchen is amazing , very new and everything was there. Beds were comfortable. Nice big yard with a metal fence. Big jacuzzi, easy feets 5 adults. I take out 1 star because of the broken crib. The main point why I've chosen this house because it has a crib and change table. Front panel is barely holding from not fell down, my baby rolled up and end up yelling at night because she stacked between the front panel and mattress. Terrible! Thanks god she's almost 2 years, but what if it was an infant and got trauma? Unacceptable! Trash that crib or get a new one.that crib looks unfixable. And sliding door on 2nd floor was stacking everytime and noisy. Also there was no dishwasher tables, but as soon as I called, office send someone with tabs. But overall very positive experience. Would definitely come back if you fix a crib. Thank you

Over all it was good But...
The rental was really good and the minor problems were handled quickly by nice service men. But the web page is incomplete or misleading. There is no mention of the two animal limit until the rental contract is sent after the refund date. We almost didn't get to go due to the lack of a dog sitter.

Great property, difficult check in process
The property was great, we had a fun time. The big bear area has a lot to offer. However, the check in process was quite difficult. There was a lot of miscommunication about early check in as I had requested this prior to our stay. The day of check in, it wasn’t clear if we could check in early until an hour prior. There was a lot of back and forth between various members of property management and myself; at one point we couldn’t check in and then another we could. Just very confusing. We were driving from San Diego so it wasn’t a short drive for us and would have appreciated an answer that morning instead of an hour prior. Having to go to the office to grab the keys was pretty inconvenient too; I suggest getting a lock box for the property.

Big Bear Cabin
Property was great! Kitchen had everything we needed to cook with, bed was comfy, location was fantastic! Dogs loved the fenced in yard and the ability to chase squirrels. Would definitely recommend.

So much fun! But some maintenance needed.
Great cabin! Had a wonderful time, but please have maintenance people address the following items: 1) Replace master bath shower head, very painful and could certainly be dangerous if it hit you in the eye. All 7 of used the downstairs shower because of it. 2) Master screen bent upon arrival, does not stay in track nor open or close properly 3) The right rear corner of fence had a open gap which we zip tied closed so the dog wouldn't get out. It appears as if this is a coyote/wolf path. The plastic zip ties will not hold for long and should be replace with metal ties as soon as possible. 4) Fire/smoke alarms super sensitive and went off consistently when people were showering and constantly when we were cooking. Maybe move them a little farther from the bathroom door and entrance to the kitchen?? 5) Possible leak at exterior red hose to the left side of back patio. Might be drain from washer/dryer, however dripping when no appliances were being used. Just FYI. Other than these annoyances, excellent trip!! Thank you!

Disappointing
The proximity to Snow Summit was the only upside to staying here. There were dog droppings left on the patio from the previous stay, pillowcases were stained, random sequins on the floor, and the place could use a thorough dusting. There was only one usable shower since the upstairs shower felt like it was pelting water at you. They did refund the cleaning fee which we appreciated.

Property Management Nightmare
DON’T WORK WITH MEREDITH LODGING/BIG BEAR GETAWAY. As soon as we arrived we unknowingly stepped in different piles of dog poop. Later, we realized that the driveway and front walk were riddled with poop and poop debris. Without realizing it, we tracked poop all over the house. I noticed “mud” all over and then realized that my snow boot was caked with poop. There were no cleaning supplies. There were bags of poop on the back deck and it smelled like dog poop. We called Meredith Lodging and were told that all they could do was send a cleaning service. We thought that was an unreasonable solution as the carpets would be wet after cleaning so we requested a different house, but were told that they did not have any. The man that we spoke to could not confirm if/when a cleaner would come and told us that his manager refused to call us. We waited almost 2 hours. Our kids were starving, it was past 7:30pm and I could not cook or put my kids to bed in that condition. We still had no indication if/when a cleaner might come, even after multiple inquiries. We returned the keys less than 3 hours after we picked them up. They refuse to refund us a dime even though they admitted that the dog poop was “on them.” They claim we refused cleaning on a recorded call (untrue), but they refuse to share the recordings, so they are using recordings against us while denying us the ability to dispute their claims. They failed to provide a clean premises but take no responsibility for the result.

Great Property
Cute Cabin/great property. It was just my husband and I with our dog but it was nice to have the extra space. Our dog loved the fenced yard and being able to run around. The hot tub was a great addition. All appliances were updated. The King bed downstairs was a bit hard for our liking. Just be aware the stairs leading upstairs are really small and my husband almost hit his head walking up them. There are a lot of stwps up and down into different rooms so be careful in the dark.
