About this property

Secluded bushland escape in the Colo Valley

Enjoy a secluded bushland escape at this unique and tranquil getaway, all within 90mins of Sydney.

The Colo Valley abounds in natural beauty, with stunning sandstone cliffs dropping down to the twisting clear waters of the Colo River. It is an ideal location to explore the numerous bushwalking tracks and lookouts the beautiful Wollemi National Park has to offer, or to cast a line out from a canoe on the Colo River.
It is the perfect location to do as much, or as little as you like!

Edenvale Bush Retreat is a fully self contained 1 bedroom cottage.
The space is light and airy, and boasts an open kitchen with lounge area, separate bedroom and ensuite. A covered verandah faces the valley and is an ideal place for a quiet coffee.

The cottage is nestled at the base of the sandstone escarpment.
Sit back, unplug and unwind while enjoying the views of the surrounding valley.
Relax late into the evening around the firepit or ask about a picnic hamper for your stay to have beside the river.

Our horses love attention and enjoy sharing your apples and carrots, so feel free to visit them for a pat!

We allow up to 2 dogs to stay with you so there’s no need to leave your furry friends at home missing out on the adventure!

An outdoor setting and gas BBQ are available in the garden.

The Colo River is easily accessed at the public park, located within minutes of EdenVale Bush Retreat.
The Colo Riverside Cafe and General Store are also within a few minutes drive of the cottage.

Very remote
No mention that there would be no TV provided so didn't bring alternative entertainment. Little or no phone signal and power failure due to storm. Lots of mossies. Good place to escape the world but too remote for us. Hosts were lovely.

A home away from home !
What an amazing little cottage tucked away in the valley with Beautiful views and no Neighbour’s. Bonnie and Doug are so friendly and very welcoming hosts. They refilled the fire pit the second night so we could light it instantly after a day out. The little homely touches and fruit and snacks was also such a nice surprise! Just a thing to note that you won’t have any service in the area if you’re with Optus, but this was actually a very welcome time away from internet and our phones. Couldn’t recommend more
