A hidden jem at Goolwa Beach
A great home with everything you need. Comfortable and tastefully fitted out. Located in a quiet and unique spot on the edge of suburbia with the beach at your front door. Great fishing and surfing at one of the States best beaches, clean and spacious. All the amenities of civilisation a couple of minutes up the road with a great range of supermarkets, restaurants, galleries and specialty shops. All that as well as a great farmers market. Unlike some of our states historic towns, Goolwa has managed to keep that authentic charm and scale. A must stay place that deserves a spot on your bucket list.

We are a family who love to enjoy the beach, bike riding and getting away with friends and family. We have poured a lot of our love into our little beach getaway to make it as comfy and cosy as we can. We hope you enjoy it too and everything that Goolwa and surrounds have to offer.

Why they chose this property

Goolwa has an abundance of things to do, from amazing eateries in Cadell Street to the historic wharf precinct and eateries along the river. Check out the seal colony lazing and frolicking at The Barrage, take the kids to the amazing nature playground along the river, or the one hidden beneath the Hindmarsh Island bridge. Grab a glass or bottle of gin from the local Gin distillery, check out the local Sunday Markets by the Wharf, or take a boat ride along the Murray River or into the Coorong. Travel over to Hindmarsh Island and grab some fish and chips by the Murray Mouth at Coorong Cafe. Indulge in a historic train ride on the enchanting Cockle Train to Victor Harbour and back, taking in the gorgeous coastline. Check out the local Goolwa art galleries, homeware and antique shops. Play a round of golf at the impressive Goolwa golf course. Take the kids to the charming Goolwa Animal Farm for a hands-on farm experience like no other. Scenic flights, whale watching in winter, water sports on the river, boating and fishing.... the activities are endless. Goolwa has everything you need for groceries, drinks, boating and tackle, petrol, pharmacy and hardware items. The major supermarkets are a short 5-minute drive from the property. Pick up something for a BBQ dinner from the excellent butcher in the Goolwa Village shopping centre. Travel further to the enchanting towns of Middleton, Port Elliot and Victor Harbour. Currency Creek wineries and the world-famous McLaren Vale are a short drive away. Goolwa, all the while being a short one-hour drive from Adelaide, you can leave work and be relaxing for the weekend in no time!

What makes this property unique

Tucked behind the beautiful, natural sand dunes of Goolwa Beach and nestled in native scrub, you will feel calm and relaxed in this quiet location while being deceptively close to the conveniences and activities of Goolwa. Choose from two enchanting beach access paths, right across the road! The proximity to the beach is perfect for young children, pets and those who enjoy a leisurely or more fast-paced stroll on the beach. See if you can spot a "midden" as you wander along the dune path. The connection of the area to the Ngarrindjeri people can be felt all around.

Wander to popular Kuti Shack for a morning coffee or breakfast or brew an espresso at the property to enjoy on your own front deck while gazing at the birds and the dunes and listening to the roar of the ocean. Goolwa Beach has so much to offer, a great surf beach for beginners, you can organise a lesson or board hire out the front of the surf lifesaving club. Grab a bucket and cockle net and collect cockles right out the front of the house on "your" own beach; so much fun for the kids! Cook them up that night Spaghetti Vongole style or try a bowl of chilli jam cockles at Kuti Shack or grab a meal at the nearby Surf Lifesaving Club. For a bit more adventure, take your 4WD and head onto the beach to drive along the expansive coastline, all the way to the Murray Mouth. Or bring your bikes for a ride along the Encounter Bikeway which passes in front of the property.
