The service was great as was the location. We had booked a king room, didn't receive it. List below of issues: - broken tiles in bathroom with shower - old/dirty shower head - carpets very old, dirty and stained - broken toilet paper holder, towel hanger, kettle - broken fan over stove - pillows essentially flat boards I don't like giving bad reviews but I was very disappointed in this place. I won't return.

We stayed in 2 different rooms, including the "Penthouse". Neither were in good condition, and furniture was sparse and cheap. The photos were not at all representative of the property. The area was fairly central, but noisy and dirty (although this is common for the city centre). They also had a ridiculously strict change/cancellation policy - 2 hours after making a booking, I wanted to change to a night earlier, and they were completely inflexible. As a result we ended up staying with them 2 nights, and it was not the experience we were looking for. Would not go back to this property.

Park Lane City Apartments is located in Bishops Gate. The location was handy - bus was 5 min walk away or 20 min walk to Tower of London where we caught the Hop on Hop off bus for a tour of the city. The place was clean and quiet, small kitchen/living room, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, oven, washer/dryer combo. King size bed was comfortable, shower roomy, 2nd mini bathroom was a bonus. The best feature we found was the mobile phone they provided with ap to locate where you are and how to get where you want to go. We enjoy walking and found it a great help as London streets are all different angles and it is easy to get lost without the phone. Saturday there was a street sale (6 blocks long) just outside our door - a little noisy as they set up the booths early in the morning but what fun.

Only for heavy sleepers - very noisy!

Great location close to Liverpool station. Really nice unit - well furnished and comfortable. Staff are lovely. The problem is the noise. Between the pub goers screaming and shouting, the construction crew across the street and the Petticoat Lane vendors setting up at 6:50AM on a Sunday morning, count on getting little to no sleep while here. Pity because everything else about this place is great.

Old and tired needs renovating

Old and tired suite with lots of potential if owner would just reinvest some money. My unit was a spacious 2 bedroom that really could have been something special. Unfortunately owner is not keeping up with repairs or spending any money on making it special. Bathroom floor groat is so poor that the ceramic tiles actually move beneath your feet. I complained about the TV as it’s only a set of Rabbit ears no digital box. Only really got 4 clear channels. Most furnishings and electronics are cheap and old. Had to sit on a pillow at kitchen table as chairs were so uncomfortable.

Close to Liverpool tube station

Great access to London if you are using the tube. Easy access to Heathrow via tube and train. Lots of good restaurants and pubs near buy.

Great location!

In London for 10 days, plans for Trooping of the Colour, theatre, St Paul's Cathederal, Royal Ascot and countryside tour. This hotel easy access to Liverpool Street underground, short walk, and can go pretty well everywhere. We had a penthouse terrace and since we were there in the 34 degree weather this was a godsend for evening picnics.

Elevator didn't work

Elevator didn't work. Had to climb 4 floors. Claimed it had just broke but sign looked old. Didn't offer to help find a different solution. Carpets dirty.

good apartment right in the centre of The City

The welcome was great and the size and position of the apartment fabulous. The apartment is a little tired and could use a GE real spruce up especially all of the taps and shower. The mattress is quite old I suspect and could use a mattress topper and some new pillows. But in general a really great place and so conveniently located with really nice people who take care of you.

Plenty of space. No door between kitchen and bedroom so had to turn the fridge off, but not a big problem. They've made a reasonable job of tidying up an older property. All in great value for the area.

Park lane by name but definetly not in reality. Hard to find outside was not a good first impression. Carpets needing replaced or at least cleaned. Musty smell in shower room. Paid less for much better. Area felt unsafe . The man on reception was very nice and helpful but unfortunately the negatives outweghed this. Booked 2 nights stayed one and bunked in with a friend second night. Sorry but not for me

Overall the apartment was good and clean, However, the TV downstairs in the bedroom didn't work, no signal. The sink in the bathroom was slow to drain due to blockage and the washing machine stopped mid-cycle possibly due filter blockage. Bed was very comfortable and spacious. Shower was fantastic. Very convenient for central London, close to underground and bus routes. Would stay again

I love staying at Park Lane City Apartments. Perfect location for me, friendly staff, clean, comfortable and well equipped. I'd give it full marks if only they would put cable or satelite TV in. The TV reception is very poor. Come on guys. Sort it out! So close to perfect.
