Tairua is a great place to enjoy the beach. Everything is right there. Paku Lodge is outstanding value for your dollar. Love the free bikes and kayaks.

Situated on the beach this is a great place to relax and take in the view. The management staff are excellent. Everything is well organized and efficient but with a "chill" attitude. Nice digs and beautiful scenery. Doesn't get much better!

Beautiful view

Located across the street from a beautiful bay and beach. Free paddle boards and kayaks to use too. Only issue for us was there is no air conditioning and it was super hot in the room until about 10:30 pm.

Great location with beach right across road. Property in wonderful setting which is very pleasing. Free use of kayaks & paddle boards was nice. Managers very friendly & helpful including offering shovels to use on visit to Hot Water Beach. Room needs an update and it's cleanliness was disappointing.

Perfect location to explore Coromandel Coast

We stayed two nights and wanted to extend. The location is perfect for exploring the Coromandel area. We had a easy drive to How Water Beach (they supplied the spades and towels) and Cathedral Cove. An easy walk into town and close enough to walk to the viewpoint above them. Our welcome was perfect. We told them what we wanted to do and they printed off the information to help us out. The room was vefy clean, spacious with a deck and well supplied. Very accommodating.

Close to Hot Water Beach

It is an average motel in a good location about 20-25 minutes drive to Hot Water Beach. The staff offered us free use of spades for Hot Water Beach and the use of kayaks and a stand-up board for use on the bay, which was a nice and unexpected extra. There were a lot of insects in our room. There are screens on two of the windows, but they didn't seem to help much. Towels and linens were very nice. Kitchen seemed well equipped, although we didn't cook there.

Excellent motel

Excellent stop on a tour of Coromandel, with really friendly staff . Property was a really comfortable motel with added extras of bicycles and kayaks to use free of charge. Directly opposite small beach, at the beginning of Mount Paku summit trail and near a lovely cafe for breakfast, The Old Mill Cafe and smart restaurant, The Beach Club for one of best meals of the holiday. Really recommend this place for a short stay.
