Beautiful apartment with modern conveniences. Based in Haymarket, we could walk to delicious restaurants around the block and fun shopping minutes away. Felt very safe, although we always felt safe in Scotland. We would stay here again!

We had a fantastic stay at Destiny Scotland - Distillers House. The apartment was spotlessly clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped for our needs — ideal for both short and extended stays. One of the biggest advantages is the location: it’s central yet quiet, with easy access to Princes Street, Haymarket, and the West End. We loved being able to walk to great cafes, restaurants, and attractions, all within minutes. Self check-in was smooth and convenient with clear instructions provided in advance. The communication with the property was prompt and professional throughout. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like quality toiletries, soft towels, and plenty of storage space. Enjoyed a 2-night stay in September 2023. Flat was very spacious for a couple (the largest we stayed at of 5 different Ireland and Scotland rentals on our holiday) and a great blend of preserved Victorian elegance and modern conveniences. Walkable for two recent retirees to Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile and Waverly train station. We used a cab to reach the flat from the airport but tram would have also worked. Treat yourself to Scottish food and brews at Nicholson’s Freehouse on the same block for great pub and sports atmosphere.

Booked a comfort double, got a 2 bed apartment in the basement, so review is based on that. Good: well appointed with solid build and craftsmanship with furniture and decor in as-new condition. Comfy bed, great bathroom and shower, spacious lounge diner. Bad: bedrooms themselves are tiny so cases had to be opened and unpacked in the living area. No elevator but stairs are steep, narrow and winding. Basement room looked out on a wall and was noisy with traffic and tram

Everything you need , clean and well laid out , the only issue I had was the hardness of the mattress, its a personal thing but I found it much too hard, a topper would have made a big difference- in every other way its a perfect apartment

Not quite what we expected

Overall, our stay was pleasant. There was no hotel staff at all as the place felt more like a hostel than a hotel. The room itself was clean and had good amenities, however, the sheets on the bed were so itchy that we slept on top of the comforter and use an extra blanket, because there was no sleeping on those sheets. We almost considered buying some sheets while shopping in Edinburgh. I would not necessarily stay here again.

The staff at Destiny Scotland Distillers House were phenomenal. They were so attentive and responded to email inquiries quickly! Our room happened to be ready for check-in even though we arrived at 12:30 p.m., which was lovely. Our room was on the first floor in the back of the property so we were away from any street noise. We stayed 5 nights and it was very, very comfortable and quiet!

Very straightforward and easy weekend stay at this lovely apart-hotel. Spacious and stylish and perfectly clean. Location was good and reasonably central though the road outside was noisy well into the night. Good comms with the management throughout and no problems with access etc. Parking a few mins walk away with Just Park.

We had a great stay at Distillers House, the apartment was clean and well equipped- with a super location close to the tram to the airport and with lots of cafes and bares in the neighborhood. Easy to get access with a code and a very convenient luggage storage room.

Excellent high end appartment with everything we needed. Easy walk down the street to everything we needed. Quiet nights sleep considering how close it was to the main street. Very secure and safe. Only complaint was that we were not aware how difficult it was to find parking. Ended up a half mile from the appartment but we made the best of it.

Excellent high spec apartment

Excellent spacious apartment done to a very good spec. Only thing to consider is the noise from traffics if you’re in the flat on the bottom corner. Not drastic but I was aware of it.
