This is the hotel we chose to stay after a terrible night at another place. This place was formerly Playa Maya Beach Hotel that we have stayed at before. The rooms do need upgrading which I think they are doing slowly. Bed was ok but somewhat hard. Staff mostly spoke Spanish but food and service was excellent! The chef Victor went out of his way to cook whatever you wanted and it was most excellent. The best is that it is right on the beach and they have very comfortable beach chairs and beds! There are a few stairs to contend with but all in all, I would stay here again! They were installing new refrigerators when we left.

No Wifi for 3 consecutive days in the rooms, wifi was available at main restaurant though. Location is great. Right on the beach. People talk about walking across beach to get to hotel, its 30 feet off the street via beach. Rooms are very basic, not dirty but no extras at all. No blanket on bed beyond sheets for example. Breakfast is great, good omelette and coffee, friendly staff. Office staff are so - so, not looking to help. Location is perfect, on the beach, close to everything and central.

Beautiful beachfront property! Staff was responsive and helpful. Very close to restaurants, amenities and Fifth Avenue. Wonderful place to stay right on the beach and away from all the noise while also being close to all the action of the avenue a short stroll away. Best of both worlds :)

Great little hidden beachfront hotel, staff always friendly and helpful. Prime beachfront area, beautiful white sandy beach, nice little restaurant and bar with decent prices. Short walk to 5th Ave and plenty to see and do.

The WIFI was a little slow. Even to have them use my credit card. Otherwise very good. We loved how the Hotel front door faces the nearby beach and you enter by the beach. Loved the vacation.

The owner Steven and front desk Christina were very helpful and friendly, as were all the staff at the restaurant out in the front. Beachview was incredible, from the front of the hotel, whether on the balcony or sitting there to eat breakfast. Excellent pools and showering facitlities after swimming in the sea or sitting in the beach chairs out front. Always lots of friendly peoplle around out front but also quiet at night. The locationj is right off 5th avenue, so two minutes and you can be shopping. The rooms super clean and was very pleased with the nice cold air conditioning on a hot day. We most definitely would like to go back and stay there, longer next year.....thanks Playa Maya management and staff
