Pretty awful place but whatever. Paid a hefty price which was essentially a backpackers hostel. Staff didn’t change the bedding and the walls were stained with something. Pigeon droppings everywhere. Excellent location though.

This is more like a college dorm than a hotel, but its location is excellent. The breakfast was great and the staff were friendly. My biggest concern was the security of the room. You have to turn your key in when you leave in the day, but they don't check ID when you get back. As staff changed, I knew I hadn't been recognized but got my key just by stating the room number. Also, one night i heard someone trying my door around midnight (very slow turn). There was also a bit of mold in the washroom from the damp (bit i found this common in the hotels I stayed in in the UK as well). I do recommend the Glen but hope they fix the security issues. Just a tip - there is a bus that goes to the airport near the hotel and was only 6 Euro, so much cheaper than a cab (they have luggage storage under the bus).

Never again

We were warned not to walk up the street as it was a bad area. The plumbing was barely functioning. The Dining room was too small for the number of guests and very cramped space at the tiny tables. Wifi was good.

Convenient location

To be fair, it was a very busy week and we were lucky to find this spot to stay. Heat waves are rare in Ireland and this room was at the top of many flights of stairs. The view was good overlooking the spire. Breakfast was convenient.

In an area of hostels and city life. Felt safe as front door of b&b was always locked and someone always answered. NOTE you leave your key with the front desk and collect kt on your return. This way they know youre out. I would stay there again.

Centrally located accomodation. Close to a lot of restaurant and bar. Breakfast is good but only serving 8am-10am. Accomodation is a bit old but spacious.

Three flights to climb with luggage was a challenge. Breakfast OK. Don't start serving into 0800 which is a problem if you have an early meeting. Good location. Staff not the friendliest

good basic hotel

Problem with parking. Listing said it was available. It didn't say that it was public 'P' parking a block and a half away. When we left it was 71 euros for two nights for the parking. We went back to the hotel and they said we needed to use a discount coupon when we were leaving the parking lot. This was never made clear when we checked in and it was too late after we had already left the parking lot. Very upsetting.

Very noisy!!!!!

Mattress was as hard as rock, single pane windows, you could hear everything from the street below. Hardly slept, felt exhausted. Would not recommend to anyone.

Friendly staff & clean room but that's about it...

The staff was very very friendly and the room was very clean. The shower in the bathroom did leak but it is an older building. The breakfast was delicious and they even had a menu to choose from. However, the "triple rooms" (for 3 people) don't have lifts (only the "single" and "double rooms"), so we had to carry our large suitcases up 3 flights of stairs, with our 4 year old following us (and I'm pregnant). The locks on the doors are just the push-knob doorknobs and the doors themselves are just your regular bedroom doors from any home - did not make us feel very safe. Every time someone walked upstairs above us, everything shook, even our bed. The neighbourhood seemed a bit seedy but we didn't come across anything bad. It was not worth the dollar amount paid, in my opinion.

Our stay at Glen Guesthouse

We had stayed in this area before, so knew what to expect. We were close to shopping and the town, a few minutes walk. There are also a few nice pubs with very good food close by. The room was adequate, although we were facing the street and there is a hostel next door, so it could be quite noisy into the wee hours. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choices, even for those who don't care for the full irish breakfast. I would recommend this hotel.

Great service with decent breakfast included. Room was small but clean. Not the most comfortable and very noisy neighbourhood. Terrible TV reception. Shower not the best and water had a strange odor. Recommended as an inexpensive hotel for a short stay if you're just looking for a place to sleep.

Nice place to rest up & refresh!

Good place to stay - staff are very helpful with any questions or concerns you may have. They know the area well and direct you for good value for your travel budget. Breakfast was great! Rooms are all you really need - not fussy but clean. Area is fantastic in respect to touring around for shopping, sight seeing, Pubbing or even grabbing a bite (big or small) it has it all. Would not hesitate to recommend or return for a stay!

Glen guesthouse is the average affordable hotel. The location is Great, Everything in the City Centre is within an easy walking distance. Also the airport bus (Airlink 474) stops right infront of the hotel!! Noise from the Street and nearby hospital (ambulanse) might bother someone. Breakfast was good.

B&Bとしては快適なホテル。交通至便。

B&Bとしては快適な場所だと思います。施設は古いですが、不便はないです。24時間レセプションには人がいるので安心です。対応もフレンドリーで良い感じです。シャワーは熱いお湯が十分に出ます。フルのアイリッシュブレックファストが出るのはありがたいです。 場所は空港バス停が目の前であり、多数の路線バスのバス停へ徒歩ですぐいけます。redとgreenの路面電車(luas)の電停にも歩いていけます。 なお、大通りに面していて防音がいまいちなので、静けさを求める人は向かないでしょう。
