Nice place to stay in lima

This is my second time that i have stay at peru star and for the second time i have not regret of my choice. It is a wonderful stay and the staff is so great and what got me so much is that they reconised me from last year. I recomend to stay here!!

Charming Retreat in Safe part of Lima

Very fine boutique hotel... was given a very nice room on the top floor with lots of bright windows and a lovely enclosed sundeck off master bedroom. In addition this 'suite' had a full kitchen facility with fridge coffee maker plates cutlery etc. The staff was very polite and helpful...there were ongoing maintenance projects during my 3 day stay so I could see that they were trying to keep the place looking sharp. There was a swimming pool although I didn't test it... a reading room with some helpful books on Peru. On the negative... I did have a bit of an 'ant' problem in the room but the chamber maid was good at resolving the problem (it is the tropics after all) and while this is no comment on the quality of this nice little hotel...I was 'surprised' at how many car alarms and house alarms that would go off at all hours of the day in night... That said I would happily recommend this this as a fine place to consider if staying in Lima.

Aesthetically beautiful and full of surprises

I loved Peru Star Apartments from the moment I was welcomed to the time I left. All staff take a pride in their work and are genuinely wanting to provide the best service they can. ...lovely light room, beautiful garden areas, a pool area, wifi that works, sitting areas, restaurant/bar, security...all guests are 'buzzed' in and out, taxis...one of the nicest places I have stayed for many months.

Get a suite, not a small room

Get a suite, not a small room. Great food if you order, but the breakfast is only coffee and bread. Very good service and people at this small boutique hotel. I'm sure we would have loved this hotel if we got a suite rather then a small room.

Clean, friendly service but some details to improv

The room was super clean and fresh scented, and the personnel were helpful and kind. The location is also excellent. The bedroom had everything we could need including bottled water. One thing we didn’t like was the loud music by the pool starting at 8 am and until past 11 in the evening. Also, we could hear a kid crying full night in the next room. I understand not much can be done about the kid crying, but I am surprised that the neighbours and other hotel guests would not complain about the music. The area is pretty residential so really unexpected. I asked the reception to turn it off by 11 pm and they did but I wonder what about the morning—I am a morning person so not an issue for me but maybe for other people?

We took a trip in the middle of our stay and they keep the luggage we did not need and brought it to our room when we returned. The staff is great. Most of them speak English. They are extremely helpful. Our room included a kitchen and it made it really convenient to make our own food and have space to work and relax.

I can not Recommend Peru Star highly enough ! This was a last minute find on Expedia and it was excellent in every way. This is proprietress Lucy's labor of love and you can tell. The attention to detail is incredible. it feels like you are in a dear friend's home. The rooms are immaculate and have every amenity imaginable - TV, micro, fridge,dishes, etc. The restaurant is fantastic. The San Isidro location is perfect - walking distance to stores anda huge mall, yet quiet and relaxed, and just a few minutes to taxi to Miraflores. Book this one, and you will be happy !:)
