2nd time at Ben's Guesthouse and it was still amazing! There was no elevator so if you're not up to carrying you luggage full of your shopping then this probably isn't the place for you but would totally still book next time I'm in Kyoto!

We found our room quite adequate. It had a stovetop for cooking and a washing machine. It was very close to a grocery store and an amazing bakery. Great baguettes at the bakery. Really enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stay if you want to stay in / cook a meal. Overall spacious and clean. It was a bit further from the city center although easy to get to. Many bus options to Kyoto tourist destinations only a 5 min walk away.

Very quaint japanese style inn. Good price. Little out of the way in terms of location but the bus stop isn't too far away to get around. Great karaage place 3 min away, and clothes options too. Lobby has a hand drawn map of local stops for food and shopping

Very nice guesthouse felt very homey! Was also nice and clean. The breakfast options were nice and affordable as well! The staff were very accommodating to requests involving luggage delivery too :)

Our stay here was terrific. Ben has information posted of local places to try in the area. The bus is a bit of a walk daily but it is doable. The area itself is quiet and a fantastic area to be to meet locals. Check in was easy and Ben laid out all the expectations up front which we appreciated. We would definitely stay here again.
