We really enjoyed being by the water and layout of our room, which included a kitchenette and separate seating area. The staff were all excellent as well. It’s about a 15-20 min walk to the downtown core, so if you prefer to step right out of your lobby into the hub, it may not be for you, but we found the location perfect. It gave us the opportunity to see the Amsterdam port in action, watch the barges, there was an extensive walking/cycling trail system right outside our door, and it has a great waterfront patio.

Location was absolutely wonderful, close to everything by walking and public transportation. Was super quiet, made for an excellent sleep and the view of the canal was wonderful to wake up to in the morning. Kitchen was well equipped and groceries a 5 minute walk away. This is a fantastic hotel. We had a lovely view of the water, the gym is really good, the rooms are clean and quite spacious. Do yourself a favor and get the breakfast included. It is absolutely amazing. To get to the hotel from Amsterdam Centraal Station, take a bus for 6-10 minutes and then walk for 5 minutes to the hotel. Very easy. The price is really good compared to what you will pay to stay in the downtown area.

We booked two rooms as we were traveling with our two young adult daughters. Both rooms were very nicely finished, very clean and very comfortable. The beds, linens and bathroom towels were great and the kitchen well stocked if you want to do simple meal preparation. Location is a little far for walking to most attractions - but the onsite bar and restaurant was fantastic... Fabio at the bar was friendly and made us feel welcome. We found that Uber was the best way to travel into city centre - each way was approx. 12-14 euros for 4 passengers. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Amsterdam.

The hotel was beautiful, we love everything in our room, the decors were perfect. Bed was comfortable! It was spotless clean. My husband and I stayed for six nights to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and the hotel staff surprised us with a bottle of champagne and a very lovely card with beautiful congratulatory message (thank you guys-you guys are the sweetest!) staff in general were absolutely friendly and was helpful in any way. The bus stop to central station is just few minutes walk away. The area is so quiet. We can’t wait to go back with the kids ❤️. We will definitely stay again.

The hotel staff were incredibly friendly

My stay at ROOM 106 with its perfect pillows and bedding was delightful. The room had comfortable natural light and a beautiful river view. It's just a 5-minute walk to the nearest supermarket, with a safe and smooth path. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The room itself was spacious and clean, with a well-equipped kitchen and a bathroom featuring heated floors — essential during Amsterdam's winter. Staying at The July - Boat & Co is likely to become one of my fondest memories of Amsterdam.
