Efficient check in, friendly staff. Good room with modern bathroom and comfortable bed. Quiet location, lots of character. Evening meal and breakfast both good.
The staff were fantastic, helpful caring. Happy smiling staff.
The hotel was beautiful. The room was beautiful. The bed was so comfy. Lovely breakfast we really did enjoy every aspect of our stay.
Definately would recommend.
Great visit again it was a shame about the kitchen but couldn’t be helped staff and owners and managers were very nice and helpful food was great when the kitchen was opened after refitting will return 😊
It is a good place, a bit isolated so you need to have a car. The floor boards creak so if you are downstairs you may hear the upstairs neighbours.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
We have stayed at the Boot many times pre-pandemic and everything was always excellent. However, on this occasion we were not told until after we booked that they were not doing lunch or evening meals…and we only got told at that point due to emailing to book a table! There were also renovations taking place which we were not told about in advance. We like the Boot and it normally makes a very convenient and lovely stop over on our way up North but it was very disappointing after a long drive to have to drive somewhere else for food and the lack of cooking facilities meant the breakfast was not to the same standard as we have experienced on all of our previous stays. Hopefully things will return to normal soon but it would have been helpful to have a heads up in advance of booking.
Arrived around 8pm after a day walking round Worcester on the Penguin trail and was shown straight to our room which was spotlessly clean. Having eaten earlier in the city we didn't try the evening menu but the breakfast the following morning was good ,all in all we would definitely rebook there the next time we're in that part of the country.
Overall an okay stay. Staff very friendly and helpful even over being incorrectly charged at checkout. Rating could easily be bettered by improvements to presentation of breakfast. A breakfast menu would be useful. Toast served already buttered and piled up on a dinner plate is poor. A toast rack and butter portions would be much better. The coffee from the machine is not great. Freshly brewed filter coffee would be better. Breakfast in conservatory was more pleasant but not enhanced by view over unkempt outdoor area. Room okay apart from not being able to use wash hand basin without cracking head off glass shelf.

Breakfast severely gone downhill since previous visits. Used to be a strength and now a weakness. Sausage appeared to be reheated several times and everything was cold. Didn’t realise there was cereal until we saw a random table with juice and boxes of rice crispies on. Staff were too busy chatting to show us! Coffee was horrible. Nice little pots of jam left at the end of our table which, again, I had no idea were there!
Bedroom was a lovely size and a nice shower room. Lovely pub area. A few cobwebs about but this did not bother me in such an old building. Such a shame though about the awful breakfast experience.
Staff were friendly and helpful and our room was clean and well appointed with tea and coffee facilities, bottled water etc. We ate dinner at the Inn where there was good choice of menu.
