It is a beautiful place to stay in a tranquil location. I was only there for one night en route to the airport and I loved the accommodation. However, there was no-one to help me carry my suitcase up or down stairs (I am a senior travelling alone on this occasion) and there was no hair dryer. Everything else was excellent.

Quaint older home preserves old world charm

A quaint old house turned into a bnb. The owners clearly love their house and have gone to great lengths to preserve the old world charm while making it as comfortable as possible. As long as you don't mind a few inconveniences due to it not being a modern building, you'll love it.

Great experience in 1640 built stone house.

Stayed in a number of B &B's on this trip and this was our favorite. Basic self serve Breakfast. Beautiful grounds.

Cottage with character, very pretty gardens.

Lovely period cottage with plenty of charm. Gardens a delight. If you intend to use this lodging because of being close to Bristol Airport make sure you book your own taxi. Nice pub within short distance.

Friendly, quiet cottage close to tourist areas

Stayed in a one bedroom. Used local taxis to attend concerts (Arctangent 2014) and tour Bristol proper. Rooms and common areas are clean, and refreshed frequently by staff. Shower was clean and had a good hot water supply. Daily breakfast is available in the shared kitchen - a DIY approach where guests select and prepare their own meals from farm fresh bread, cereal, fruit, juice, tea, coffee, milk. Clean healthy food that helps cut down a traveller's food budget. Much better than what is typically available in 'complementary breakfast' at hotels. Staff are friendly and helpful with planning trips, making calls etc. Grounds are beautiful and serene - an authentic old thatched-roof cottage with cobblestone walls, a large yard and dogs. Situated in farmland - you can wake up with the sound of animals outside and breathe the fresh country air. Good phone service is available. Internet connection is enough to check email, plan trips etc, but not for much else. This is actually an advantage, as you can 'de-internet' yourself for a few days and take in the surroundings. Short trips to Bristol, Fernhill Farm, Bristol Airport. A safe, quiet and wholesome place to return after days spent vacationing in the nearby areas.

Cozy and welcoming

Meadow Cottage was located conveniently close to the airport. The host was pleasant, welcoming and very accommodating. There are two lovely dogs who enjoy a good game of fetch, they never seem to get tired either. The property is beautiful and in a very traditional home with gorgeous finishings. If you're looking for a romantic get away or just a cozy place before you head off to the airport this is the perfect spot!

Mellow Meadow Cottage

This is a lovely B&B located just outside of Bristol. We arrived at night and the street signs were a bit difficult to navigate, however it was worth the effort. The grounds and gardens were lovely. The building itself was quite old, but the room bed and private bath were very clean and modern. A self serve kitchen was available for breakfast in the morning. I wish we had time to spend more than one night. It would be a lovely getaway for the weekend. There was good parking for rental cars. The village close by had an excellent pub with a full service restaurant for dinner.

Meadow Cottage is beautiful!

Loved it! We only wish that we had more days we could have stayed! Very welcoming and cosy cottage with old style charm. We had lucky number 13 room which was gorgeous. There were windows on three sides with equally beautiful views. The two labs, Shadow and Buster were friendly and entertaining and very well behaved. They would not enter the breakfast area or the property itself, but were eagerly awaiting a willing participant to throw them a stick or ball to retrieve. Breakfast is self serve and very informal, which we liked as it added to the home style atmosphere. We would definitely stay again at Meadow Cottage!

Back in Time

Great place. Not too far from the airport. Lots of ambiance. In the country-side. Too bad that it did not totally work for me. I'm a business traveler—need internet and a desk. There as no desk in my room and the internet was down during me stay.

What a stunning place, there are no negatives, room was perfect, bed comfortable, shower was fab. Would happily stay again. Breakfast was in a bag in your room because of covid but we were happy with it.

Lovely building, nicely maintained. Pity I didn't ask for a hairdryer when I met the owners cos when I wanted a shower they were not around to ask. As it was, the water was cold anyway. Still the bed was comfy and breakfast okay, albeit self service and pretty basic fare.

5 minutes from airport - a hidden gem

Greta location for the airport access 5 minutes. Good pub for dinner at the end of the road. 1minute.. help yourself to breakfast selectionanytime. Lovely dining room overlooking patio and view. Would be lovely to have breakfast there in the summer. Wonderful to cook you own toast! also pastires and lovel bread available.
