Nice hotel and friendly staff.

The security of this hotel was amazing. Variety of foods were very satisfying and worth it for the amount we paid, unlike the other expensive hotels. Happy for the room complementary! 👍 My family will difinitely come back in Marco Polo!

Nice, but expensive hotel and intrusive security.

Overall a very nice hotel, but I'm not sure it quite deserves the over 4 star rating. Its good don't get me wrong tho. The security is a bit overly tight tho and I didn't like getting constantly patted down on entering or having my luggage smelt by a dog. The food for the buffet breakfast is good, with a reasonable variety, but again I think it falls a bit short. Staff was also a bit slow to get things and I would constantly have to flag them down to get them to leave their stations and bring coffee, or to collect plates from the table. The pool is nice, but no server available to ask if I would have liked a drink or something to eat. Still overall a nice hotel and I would recommend it to anyone who can afford a bit extra.

Pleasant hotel in central Davao

Due to it's central location, it's easy to get a taxi and reach every point of the city. Staff is extremely helpful. Room design and hotel outlook is a bit outdated but the amenities are nice and pleasant. Restaurants and bars are a bit on the expensive side but they provide gormet experience and the food portions are more than adequate for an average adult.

Convenient and very good hotel

Apparently, this is the best hotel in the city. Overall, I can see why, though I have a few minor observations. I stayed during the month of May when it's hottest in the country. Fortunately, the air conditioning system worked well -- neither overly freezing nor too weak. The hotel should encourage environmental behaviors more by having small signs encouraging guests to leave towels on racks if they want to reuse) or on the floor if they need changing; sign on sheets as well -- as is now the case with many hotels. I didn't like the slightly stale smell in the corridors. I do think hotels in humid-hot places should have tiled floors in corridors instead of carpeting (although I suppose there's a trade-off as this might be a bit noisy). The staff was friendly and very helpful. They were overly encouraging for people to use the buffet instead of ordering from the menu (my take on not having items on the menu or indicating it would take half an hour for an item to be prepared). I liked the hotel's location, right across from famous shopping center called Aldevinco where you can find the best crafts in the region.
