Good location

It's a very interesting hotel that used to be a bank. They still have the safe and tellers wickets. The rooms could use some updating... broken tiles, mirror. Old windows (understandable) that needed to be sealed. Bed was comfortable. Walking distance to French Quarter, but not in the heart of the craziness.

over all I would say the trip was good.. had a few challenges at the beginning ( my reservation was cancelled) but when I got to the Hotel the night duty manager was able to get the reservation reinstated..the other challenge is the phone..could not call room to room plus a few other issues with the phone.. never got sorted.. The staff is Great!!!, everyone was very helpful

Expedia/the hotel screwed up our reservation and we waited for hours to get our room (and it wasn't even the one we wanted). They upgraded us to a nicer room for free the next day though. Location was pretty good, away from the party and quieter but everything was a walkable distance. Place seemed kinda outdated but clean.

Great place

Great location, hotel is older but kept up really nice.Staff are very friendly and will help you with anything if able.Within walking distance of French Quarter. Lots of restaurants around hotel.Rooms are very nice, internet kept going out but weather was bad during stay. Very safe location.

I had a difficult time checking in at this hotel. Because my credit card says "Joe" and my passport & driver's license say "Joseph", this mismatch became a huge problem and they would not let me check in. This resulted in a phone call to the manager. I was finally allowed to check in when I remembered that I had another piece of photo ID, where I had used the name "Joe", and all was good. I have traveled the world and never had this problem before. The hotel is an older building, but it is in decent condition. It is a bit rough around the edges but generally is pretty good. The lower level is an old bank and you can see the bank vaults which I thought was pretty neat. One thing that I found annoying was that I had a room with a king sized bed, and so did my friends (a couple). Even though we paid the same room rate, my room was about 1/2 the size of theirs which I did not think was fair. My bed had about 18" of room on either side of it and maybe 5' at the foot end of the bed before hitting the wall. I didn't spend much time in the room, but that's not the point. How can 2 rooms cost the same price when one room is twice the size of the other? The AC unit in my room was right next to the bed, due to the tiny room which led to me having a dry throat from the close proximity. Additionally, this AC unit was quite loud and very annoying. Overall, I was reasonably happy with this stay but I feel like there are a few things that could be done to improve this hotel.

Great location. It is within easy walking distance of French Quarter or you can hop.on the Trolley cars. Lots of great restaurants in the area. Hotel staff is fantastic especially Britney and Mr. Richard.

Great staff and a very comfortable room. This hotel was lovely and well-appointed and was as advertised, bright, airy and spotlessly clean. Continental breakfast for $3.00 was simple but delicious. Note: Expedia trip coordinator, after being told of my need to have a mini-fridge in the room to store our medication, ensured that I had it. This is how you attract and keep customers. Thank you!
