Booked a superior suite which states king size. Apparently that is depending on availability which is not stated. We received a queen size not what I booked. Pool does not filter so is murky. Had to wait for towels to be washed. And had to ask for another roll of toilet paper. No hot water for showers. It is an easy walk to 5th ave.

The staff are all very nice. Dennis, Angel, and Michael are very helpful. The hotel is clean and simple. Nothing fancy, but well maintained. The cleaning staff are also excellent. Quiet area away from the noise. I will stay here again on my next trip to Playa.

The Bed was on the floor. Im 61 with a recent knee replacement and it was not easy to get into the bed. The shower was cold. I stayed here before and the water was cold then too. The floor are tile in the rooms but my feet were black went i walked from the shower to the room. Not going to stay here again

Looking forward to a hot shower after my trip

No hot water plumbing fixtures in poor repair, No water from the hot tap for the sink, When you turn on the shower water comes out the sink and shower head. Turn the shower to hot no water sprays from the shower head.

No hot water for the whole stay…

The hotel was average and I had to stay in the area…but the little little pool on the rooftop was not even clear, I had a hard time to get my towels changed. The worst situation was that I was not able to get hot water in my room for the whole stay…complained to the hotel, asked the manager to come to discuss but he never showed up. I thought Hotel.com would do something spend close to an hour texting with them about the issue but they didn’t do anything to help…their response was the manager said they had an issue beginning of the month but that been fixed…that’s it. WOW thanks for the support. You can find much better in Playa del Carmen.

Great spot at a great price centrally located the negatives were the Wifi worked half the time as well as the chromecast and theres no cable option, and the Water tank is a shared water tank so once the hot water is used well ... its gone . The staff is great and super friendly the rooms are clean and spacious the only negatives are the wifi and water situation.

I would stay there again.

Friendly front desk. Nice location. Room setup was compact but good. Deficiencies I reported were not completely addressed. Ac unit was repaired but,the drawers under the desktop that did not stay closed was not. That was a safety hazard, that wasn't repaired. Cleaning was not great. There was mold in the shower, and the towels were not all replaced consistently. The bathroom ceiling looked to be moldy. The lounge on the 6th floor is great place to relax. The Hotel is located on a busy street so ther is a bit of traffic noise. Rental bike was nice.

Great location very near the best part of the strip in my opinion - 38 Calle. Nice and quiet, although the hallways can be noisy when other guests are moving about. No sound insulation. Modern rooms, strong AC with remote control, fridge with tiny freezer, hair dryer, rain shower head, comfy bed - zero complaints about the room. The water stopped working a few times - one time was fairly inconvenient for me. However, it was fixed both times fairly quickly. It’s a very compact building, super tight hallways and stairways, only one person can pass. Elevator is small but works. Outdoor space on the 4th and 5th floors - I never saw anyone there, not sure why it’s there… Staff was very friendly, helpful and spoke English. They also have security there all the time and to enter you have to ring a doorbell, so I felt very safe. I highly recommend this place.

The place was great for what I needed. Could walk to beach and grocery store, right by 5th Ave for restaurants etc. There was a lot of street noise, it's a busy area.

Our stay at Autentico was exceptional. The location of the place is very convenient if you're wanting to walk over to the beach or different restaurants nearby. Our room was very comfortable, clean and well kept. The shower had a really nice water pressure as well! which is sometimes difficult to find in the area. The main thing though was the warmth of the staff. Since the beginning of our stay they made us feel very well taken care of. Thank you to Cesar, Matias, Jorge and everyone that is part of the team.
