Great property in a great location

The apartment was much brighter than the pics might have you believe and the location was great if you have a car - right on the beach with easy access to the entire island as the motorway runs just on the other side - snacks and dinner walkable but so easy to drive too. Would definitely stay here again.

Maria & Sergio # 1

This house and location we found most refreshing. Both the hosts are fantastic in communication, preparing the house and providing a thoughtful welcome package of essentials to get you on your way without stress. I would recommend spending 20 minutes or so with Sergio as his recommendations we found invaluable. From the moment you step inside the house and move through the house you can see the care and thoughtfulness from the hosts. Well equipped and a couple of simple rules made our stay very enjoyable. This is a large piece of property that you share with the host, although you each have separate houses. The hosts are most respectful of your privacy. The scenery, access to the property, swing set, chickens, wild birds and one of the most friendliness, lovable dog named King all made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. This was our first visit to the island and we felt very fortunate to have found hosts which are so caring and thoughtful to ensure you have a completely pleasant stay. Fuel, grocery and restaurants are all very close by. A clean well equipped place to stay is always what's expected, but to have such caring, thoughtful, kind hosts is what made our stay even more better than we expected. We loved it. Great location, walking distance to Charlena's pizza and to the tide pools! Need to update the BBQ grill for next season.

Peaceful, Beautiful View!

Welcomed by the host with tea and provisions, we had an excellent beginning to our stay in the Azores! The home is tastefully decorated, beds and pillows comfortable, kitchen well-stocked, and the outside garden areas are very inviting! The host gave recommendations for sites to see and restaurants to try. We loved the peaceful location and the views of the ocean from the yard. I would not hesitate to stay here again or to recommend this beautiful home!

Country House with ocean view

Enjoyed our stay at Villa Maria 2. The attention to detail in construction, upkeep, furnishings and amenities was greatly appreciated. Having a startup supply of food soaps and paper products was a pleasant surprise. The hospitality and trip suggestions from Sergio was such a bonus. We would happily recommend and would be pleased to return. The view from the patio and Gardens in the rear were lovely spaces to relax and enjoy the Beautiful scenery. The bread delivery was such a treat!

Authentic Azores!

When we arrived Antonio was there to greet us and show us the apt. He also graciously supplied breakfast fixings including; local cheese, buns, fresh eggs, fruit and coffee. Such a welcome treat after an early flight. He was also very accommodating and allowed us to check in early and leave a little later than normal. We can’t say enough about our host! The apt is deceptively spacious with nice little touches like fresh flowers from his garden. Antonio explained the house had been his original family home. We were greeted by chickens and rooster each morning (they were kind and didn’t make noise until we were awake). Weather was a little bit of everything while we were there so i recommend dressing in layers. This was a wonderful local Azores experience and we loved all our adventures on the island.
