The property is very well put together, very clean and beautiful decor. We enjoyed looking at the pictures of the mill being renovated in the two photo albums. The kitchen was also stocked with a few groceries which was a nice surprise.The somewhat covered area outside with the hammocks was nice to sit in. It is very quiet and peaceful, with lots of space.It is a tight turn to get into the property, our little rental car did it no problem though. If you rent a bigger car it could be a concern.The bathroom area was a little musty but it didn't really bother us. The rest of the house was completely fine. A different place we rented at the other end of the island was more musty and humid, so it might be a factor to a varying degree wherever you stay.You can see the sunset directly if you stand at one end of the property.It was a very special place to stay in!

The place is larger than they appear in the photos. The place is clean , close to a few of the sites and a natural pool and sete citades. It is about a 45 minute drive to Ponta Delgada, but a very easy drive. David was quick to respond to any questions. Check-in was easy. Overall a great place.

This house and location we found most refreshing. Both the hosts are fantastic in communication, preparing the house and providing a thoughtful welcome package of essentials to get you on your way without stress. I would recommend spending 20 minutes or so with Sergio as his recommendations we found invaluable. From the moment you step inside the house and move through the house you can see the care and thoughtfulness from the hosts. Well equipped and a couple of simple rules made our stay very enjoyable. This is a large piece of property that you share with the host, although you each have separate houses. The hosts are most respectful of your privacy. The scenery, access to the property, swing set, chickens, wild birds and one of the most friendliness, lovable dog named King all made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. This was our first visit to the island and we felt very fortunate to have found hosts which are so caring and thoughtful to ensure you have a completely pleasant stay. Fuel, grocery and restaurants are all very close by. A clean well equipped place to stay is always what's expected, but to have such caring, thoughtful, kind hosts is what made our stay even more better than we expected. Nous avons apprécié cet endroit paisible entre la mer et la montagne et à proximité de Sete Cidades. Sergio est toujours disponible et serviable. C'est un appartement bien équipé avec une belle terrasse. Nous le recommandons.

Welcomed by the host with tea and provisions, we had an excellent beginning to our stay in the Azores! The home is tastefully decorated, beds and pillows comfortable, kitchen well-stocked, and the outside garden areas are very inviting! The host gave recommendations for sites to see and restaurants to try. We loved the peaceful location and the views of the ocean from the yard. I would not hesitate to stay here again or to recommend this beautiful home!

Enjoyed our stay at Villa Maria 2. The attention to detail in construction, upkeep, furnishings and amenities was greatly appreciated. Having a startup supply of food soaps and paper products was a pleasant surprise. The hospitality and trip suggestions from Sergio was such a bonus. We would happily recommend and would be pleased to return. The view from the patio and Gardens in the rear were lovely spaces to relax and enjoy the Beautiful scenery. The bread delivery was such a treat!

From the first moment we arrived at this place we felt overwhelmed by the beauty of the garden, the story behind every corner of the property, and most of all by the wonderful welcoming hosts. They made us feel like we were in paradise for our entire stay.
