Vacation rentals near Monchique Thermal Springs

The Pontes Family has maintained their history in this traditional Portuguese home. It is an ideal location, on the main floor, across from the park, easily walkable to the cathedral and castle, as well as to the market downtown. For two couples there is a separate bed and sitting room/office, but you will have to share the bathroom. Our hosts were readily accessible as they live in the upper floors. We would happily return here for another stay.

We are three couples who stayed here for an 11-day vacation in September 2022. The roomy villa and its pool and grounds are beautifully maintained with a lovely view. The outdoor seating area off the kitchen has an outdoor fireplace which we used on cooler evenings. You DO require a vehicle as it’s a 10 minute drive into Monchique for groceries and about a 45 minute drive to the south coast. It’s a good location for exploring the southwest Algarve or not going anywhere and just relaxing. James was welcoming and very easy to communicate with. We highly recommend!

Based on the VRBO posting we were expecting to see a "nice" place, but Quinta da Brisa turned out to be spectacular! Not only were the grounds beautiful and well kept, but the house was clean and well appointed. The kitchen had every appliance (including 2 coffee makers) that one could ask for. The massive refrigerator and separate large freezer were really useful to us. The villa has a games room (Nintendo, pool table) as well as tennis rackets, clubs and golf balls, lawn bowling balls and yoga mats. Caroline, the host, was very helpful leading up to our arrival and checked in by e-mail to make sure everything was ok (she has people looking after cleaning, the pool and the garden). We could not have asked for a better experience. The location was great with a short drive to the many lovely beaches in the Algarve. We highly recommend this place for anyone with kids or looking for an extended family vacation location.

Very nice vacation home and wonderful hosts. The house is very well equipped and all amenities you may possibly need are there. The views from the terrace are stunning! Beautiful region to visit (flora /fauna/ geology. It is also an i deal 'eagles nest' to plan excursions to the Algarve and West coast, There are plenty of good restaurants in the vicinity.
