Vacation rentals near Hurst Park

Perfect, very quiet flat on the river, our London home for future visits.

Everything was perfect. My only (very minor) issue is that it is quite a long cab or uber ride from the West End and we were of an age when we try to avoid the tube and associated walking and climbing. The bus was quite convenient during daytime, and the tube would not be a factor for younger guests.

An amazingly cosy space in a great neighbourhood! Alison made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our London holiday and was helpful and welcoming. And the details - the beautiful wooden bed, the fireplace, the books! The only (and small) downside was the toilet flush which seemed a bit reluctant from time to time.

Such a great home away from home. Easy access to trains and busses. Nice quiet apartment. Had a great sleep in the king sized bed. Will stay here again!

Olga greeted us when we arrived and showed us how everything worked. When we arrived she had a litre of milk, some fresh fruit, coffee and tea along with biscuits for us. Also a chocolate on each pillow! She was extremely helpful throughout our 1 week stay. She helped us with a SIM card, got us a bodum to use for coffee, and answered all our questions very quickly. The location is about a 10 minute walk to the Kingston train station. And then a 30 minute train ride to downtown London. Close by is a grocery store with plenty of pre-made meals if you plan on eating in. Having access to a washer and dryer is definitely a plus. In floor heating was a nice bonus. The only drawback that we found was you had to exit the bedroom to access the bathroom. The hall to the bathroom was a communal hall but the bathroom was ours alone.

The property was very clean and spacious, full of handy essentials. Getting to London was very easy, parking at the train station and taking the Piccadilly line in. Heathrow too, is very close. Great base for London adventures. The host was very helpful providing recommendations and travel advice.

Our host greeted us warmly on arrival and gave a tour of our annex. Basic food supplies were on hand, in the well-planned kitchen overlooking a manicured garden, and all rooms admitted sunshine are quiet in an upscale neighborhood. It felt like home away from home!

Regrettably we only stayed 3 nights here. Longer would have been much better as there is so much to see in this area. The apartment, or what we might call a "granny suite" was perfect. Clean! Decorated like something out of a magazine. Well stocked kitchen and a yard that "Homes and Gardens" could do a profile on. Sheeba, the cat was a bonus though she was not in the apartment. David and Laura are great hosts who make sure that you are settled in but otherwise are unseen. Lovely chats with both of them. A couple of blocks away is a string of shops and three restaurants that are worth a visit. there is a great coffee shop that is a licence to print money as it is always busy, and for good reason. Super coffee and pastries to tempt. We tried the Italian and Chinese restaurants and loved them both. WE would highly recommend this spot and would re-book without question. Thanks Laura and David!
